This week's color challenge at Dynamic Duos is bold and it can sometimes be daunting. However, I have learned that those are the moments when I step away from my comfort zone and ended up appreciating the results. This time was not different. I combined this challenge with the fabulous Unscripted Sketches challenge and the result was fantastic. The Bright Blossoms is the perfect touch for this challenge. Do you like it? DD 91 & US 245 - Backyard Basics

The world of challenges out there sure enriches us. Today I am entering my card at two wonderful challenges: Dynamic Duos and Unscripted Sketches. This card was simple to put together. For the Wild Wasabi layer I used the new Hardwood background stamp, which I totally love it. Dynamic Duos 89 & Unscripted Sketch 243 - Creative Elements

Greetings!

 

The Olympics are under way and I am one of those people that just love the opening ceremony. It was beautiful I thought and gave a nice picture of Russia to the world. Keeping with the theme of hard work and rewards, I entered the challenge from Dynamic Duos and Unscripted Sketch. Ok, it is way more pleasure and play than hard work, and that's why I love what I do! I chose the Creative Elements stamp set for this card as it had everything I wanted. The flower was heat embossed using clear emboss powder., while the small pieces were simply stamped using Pistachio Pudding ink pad. How do you like it? Please let me hear your thoughts! Dynamic Duos 88, RetroSketch 100 - Dress Up

Greetings,

I have been longing to use the Dress Up framelit as it has been a while since I touched it. The Dynamic Duos gave me a good palette to work with and the RetroSketch had an ideal if not perfect layout for today's card. Notice that no stamp set was used. Sometimes I like to have "all purpose" cards at hand. There is always plenty of chances to use them. Enjoy today's card and please do come back soon.

Dynamic Duos 86, Retrosketch 98 - Peaceful Petals

Greetings!

  

Baby it is still cold outside, but inside it is truly delightful! Even better when I get to stamp and enjoy my time in my favorite corner of the house. I headed downstairs to my craft corner and got few more cards going. I love to combine challenges and this one showcase both a color combo from Dynamic Duos and a sketch from Retro Sketch. I then used a stamp set from the new Occasions Catalog called Peaceful Petals and the paper that soon can be in your hands too from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, Sweet Sorbet. I like the calm of the color combination and the greeting too. I hope you will enjoy and do know that I am always thinking of you.

I used one of the framelits that are part of the Thinlits Circle collection to create the sentiment. I cut one in Pink Pirouette and another in Basic Black. I split the Basic Black one and offset it behind the Pink Pirouette paper. A quick, simple, and elegant detail!

Dynamic Duos #85 & Retro Sketch #96 - Backyard Basics

New Years greetings,

The year is in full swing and I am ready for it! It is so nice to get holidays behind and get a fresh start and with that a chance to try new things. Today I am entering the Dynamic Duo challenge #85 and to go with that I am pairing it with Retro Sketch challenge # 96. The color combo speaks loud to my heart. Green and Yellow are the official color of Brazil, my country of origin and just so happens that I live in Wisconsin and the colors for the football team is also Green and Yellow. How could I pass on this challenge? I used the Backyard Basics stamp set stamped in watercolor paper and hand painted. I cut the image using the Backyard Basic framelit collection. The butterflies were cut using the Beautiful Wings Embossilts. What do you think? Please do share some love.

Wow, this is it, Happy Holidays! I can hardly believe that this year went by this fast! now it is time to start thinking about what is next and renew our wishes and energies for the new year.
