As simple as this.

08-27 PPA 265

I had a packed weekend with lots of fun and tons of catching up. We had few friends over on Friday and had a small party for my daughter. Saturday she played the National Anthem at a baseball game, my husband left to Indiana to help his mother whom just had a double mastectomy done, and Sunday I was busy, very busy catching up with all the house chores. My children were so good, I got a chance to make few cards and it was indeed relaxing.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa, all occasions card, english garden dsp, floral wings, su

I want to make some cards using the English Garden DSP and the Pals Paper Players challenge 265 was the perfect sketch. Sometimes simply beautiful paper suffices to make a perfect looking card. I add the sentiment from the Floral Wings hostess set and it was the perfect touch. And it can be as simple as this.

Thank you for visiting. Have a fantastic week. Be well

Miriam

It is getting closer now.

And in one more day my little girl will have reached the 2-digits age. She is excited and have been counting down the days for over a month. It is fun to watch her excitement with this milestone.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, birthday card, pretty petals dsp, flowering flourishes, birthday blossoms stamp set, big shot, deco labels collections, chalk talk framelit, decorative dots tief, curvy corner trio punch, su

As I have said earlier this week, I am working on birthday cards this week. Here is another one and this one was inspired by the Dostamper Stars challenge 146. I did not want the color pallet or the back to school theme, just the butterflies and with the Pretty Petals dsp that was easily accomplished. The layers of Deco Labels was textured with Decorative Dots TIEF and stamped with Flowering Flourishes stamp set. I did use the new Curvy Corner punch to add that little opening for the ribbon and this is one very nice punch to add to your collection. The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set, which was then cut with the Chalk Talk framelits.

Thank you for visiting today. Take a moment to visit the others Dostamper Stars for more inspiration.

Be well

Miriam

More birthday?

CCMC369
Absolutely. As far as I am concerned this week is birthday week with my first born child turning 10. Big milestone to reach 2 digits and it deserves to celebrate.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ccmc, birthday card, timeless elegance dsp, pretty petals dsp, watercolor wings bundle, big shot, deco labels collections, su

Why not use CCM challenge 369 and make another birthday card? And look at that butterfly from Watercolor Wings? I love how we can use so many colors in a single image without using the markers. I thought about layering with another butterfly but decided against as I was aiming at colors to match the Pretty Petals dsp and for a nice contract against the Timeless Elegance dsp. The small sentiment is from Something to Say and the little banner was a snap to cut with the assistance of the marvelous Triple Banner Punch. Got to love those punches.

What are you celebrating this week? I hope you have lots to celebrate and be happy about it.

Thank you for visiting. Be well

Yay for you.

PPA264

What shall we celebrate? I say, we celebrate all of us and all the good things. Except the weather turning a bit too cool for me. Our evening have dropped to a 50Fs and I am not happy. My tomatoes have not yield one single fruit yet, except for the cherry tomatoes. Oh please, let there be tomatoes.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa, birthday card, sweet li'l things dsp, balloon bash stamp set, su

How about celebrate some young friends birthday instead? My daughter turns ten at the end of the week and I can hardly believe that. We will be celebrating her passing into 2 digits age with some friends and I hope the weather cooperates.
Today's card is based on the Pals Paper Payers challenge 264 and for that I used the Sweet Lil' Thing dsp for the background and pulled out the Balloon Bash stamp set from the 2015 Sale-a-Bration. I kept true to the sketch and held myself from adding any extras, as I want the card to be simple and straight forward, much like my daughter.

Have a fantastic week and come back again for more. Be well

Bridal? Sure, of course.

Tuesday night we were hit with some unexpected storm that came with some potential tornadoes, wind, and some much needed rain. We had the tornado siren go off, but thankfully enough it all passed in due time and no damage occurred in any areas. It was, nonetheless scary.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, dsc, bridal card, pretty petals dsp, flowering flourishes, flower shop, pansy punch, su

We are also continuing the work on getting set up for the new school year and it is a major undertake for me as much as for the children. This all has not stopped me from going to my craft corner and get my juices flowing. It helps me with the daily routine and keep a fresh perspective on things. Anyway, I made today's card for the Dostamper Stars challenge 145.  Oh how I like the colors and patterns of the new Pretty Petals DSP stack and the one used today went really well with the Flowering Flourishes stamp set. I debated about using ribbon, but voted on the Flower Shop stamp set for the detail of the sketch. It gave life to the card along with the little flowers to enhance the colors. A perfect bridal shower card, don't you think?

To the school.

This week we got ready preparing for the new school year. We have opted to go with a Virtual School this year and we had the Family orientation yesterday. It took all morning and the amount of information is somewhat overwhelming. After all that we were all hungry and ready for a break from all that information overload. Are you preparing for a new school year? How is it coming along?

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, birthday card, schoolhouse dsp, bountiful border, itty bitty accents punch, su

After lunch we all had time to think about the new school and also get dome ideas flowing. After that I declare it was time to do some creative work and to the basement we went. I receive some supplies yesterday and want to use them.  I want a festive looking card and considering the events of the day, the Schoolhouse DSP was very appropriate. The sketch from Mojo Monday challenge 411 was perfect to use the image from the Bountiful Border stamp set and I add a little perfect bow to give this card all the nice little touch of a perfect bow for a pretty girl's hair.

Big and Bold.

PPA263

More color challenge? Absolutely.  I am just about start placing the same concepts in my clothing as I am enjoying the world being more colorful.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa, birthday card, bohemian dsp, wild about flowers, and many more stamp set, su

I am kidding. Unlike my cards, my clothing are not that bold in color and I am happy to oblige to the Pals Paper Art color challenge 263 to get my color fix. I used the new Bohemian DSP for the background, then I added a bit of Tempting Turquoise for the layer, topped by the whisper white and final layer, which was stamped with the Wild About Flowers stamp set. The sentiment is from And Many More stamp set. A touch of ribbon to complete the bold look of today's card and it is all done. May as well now go on to celebrate yet another color challenge that I entered without fear.

Thank you for your visit today. Leave some love, if you may please. I truly enjoy and appreciate all the comments and e-mails you all send me. Thank you.

Whole lot of Lovely Colors.

Lovely are colors the enrich our world and lives. I appreciate color and as I walk or drive around I like to observe the colors of nature and how certain combinations go so well together.  Do you like colors?

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, all occasions card, dsc, farmer's market dsp, heat embossing, a whole lot of lovely, big shot, circle collections framelit, spring flowers TIEF, scallop circle punch, su

As I got looking at Dostamper Stars challenge 144, the image of nature came to mind. The greenery, the birds, flowers, butterflies, and all that is alive came to mind. Of course I wish to use hints of nature, then as I looked at my stamp sets I was totally drawn to the A Whole Lot of Lovely hostess stamp set and it was a short search for an image/sentiment, which was heat embossed in Calypso Coral. The background is from the Farmer's Market DSP and I used a bit of embossing for the banner strip, which was nicely cut using the Triple Banner punch. The circle was cut by placing two framelits together to get the open circle. A touch of flower and a bit of pearl and this card can now be giving to a lovely you!

Thank you for visiting today. Please come back again soon. Be well

There comes the stork.

Yes, I am still on baby cards mode. Since my friend's baby shower I got several cards made. I really love today's card, so shall we get to it?

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, baby card, rs, sweet li'l things dsp, confetti stars punch, scalloped edge border punch, big shot, window frames collection, su

Now, perhaps is just the mode in my mind, but when I saw the RetroSketch Challenge 176 I saw a baby card in it! I know, I know. Nonetheless, I figure I would transfer the card from my mind to the paper. I like the results from the combination of the Sweet Lil' Thing DSP,  the Stars Confetti Punch, a bit of the Scallop Edge punch, with the single image of that smart stork from a retired stamp set. I decided on a touch of a pretty ribbon and a perfect bow rather than a sentiment and I think it was a perfect touch.  My friend is having a baby girl, and I think this card can easily be changed to a more girly tones.

Thank you for visiting today. I look forward to seeing you again. Be well

Miriam

Oh baby!

Ppa262

This past weekend me and 2 friends were the hostesses of a baby shower for a very dear friend of ours. We did everything: from invitation to food to clean up after the party. It was lovely and we had a wonderful time celebrating her new baby. I did make few extra baby cards and got on the mode for baby cards.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa, baby card, sweet li'l things dsp, zoo babies, itty bitty banners, big shot, deco labels collections, bitty banners, su

Then I continued working on that since the Sweet Lil' Thing DSP is simply lovely and has called my name several times over. I picked up the challenge for the Pals Paper Players challenge 262 for this card and the color combo is just perfect for a baby card. The clouds on the paper are so beautiful and peaceful that I chose the elephant image from the Zoo Baby stamp set as I see elephants as very peaceful animals. The sentiment is from the now retired Little Banners but it fits so well with the card. The Deco Labels framelit fit the image with perfection and I followed it up with a layer and I also snipped a second image of the elephant to use the ears and give a bit of a lift. A touch of ribbon and this card is sure to please a mother-to-be.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you will come back soon. Be well

Flowers for you!

CCMC367

Wow, this week was so busy and the weekend was extremely busy but fantastically beautiful. Me and 2 other friends held a baby shower for a dear friend on Saturday and we had such a wonderful time that it was well worth the work we put into it over the past week. I held my monthly club on Friday and today I have a birthday stamp-a-stack class. As you can see I hardly had time for much. My husband was in full duty with the children and I am thankful that he is supportive.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ccmc, birthday card, flower pot dsp, flower patch bundle, big shot, su

Considering that I was making the projects and getting ready with the set up and all, I could not help myself and took a little bit of time to make one project. I did not have too much time, so I used the CCMC 367 as my base; for the stripes part of the project I decided on different widths of ribbon, which I really liked it as the ribbons gave more than width; they gave texture and great visual interest to the project. Since the Flower Pot dsp is so pretty and happy I chose that for the background and a touch from the Flower Patch completed the looks.

Please stay with us!

How can it possibly be August already? I want another 6 months of summer, but I know it is not going to happen. So long my tomatoes and other veggies get enough time to ripen, then we will all be happy.

Cheers!

This was a rather busy weekend for me. I have several things coming up next weekend and I needed to get ready as the week is gearing up to be a busy one too. I prepared over 100 cards for next weekend, some note pad covers, and did a good cleaning in  my craft area.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, sssc, wedding card, timeless elegance dsp, texture boutique machine, filigree frame tief, itty bitty accents punch, su

I feel so energized when I am productive. It pays off to plan and be on top of my game. Anyway, I did prepare a card based on the SSSC 280 using the Timeless Elegance DSP, the Filigree Frame TIEF, a touch of ribbon, and couple hearts. A very simple card for an anniversary or wedding event, that is sure to please bride & groom.

Thank you for visiting and please do come back again. Be well

I propose a Toast!

CCMC366

Welcome August! I can certainly appreciate how nice our weather has been lately and it made me think of the people getting married this time of the year. I got married on the first day of summer and, despite the wind, it was a nice, beautiful day. We were able to enjoy the festivities and the moment.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ccmc, wedding card, definitely dahlia, big shot, happy day stamp set, su

For the couples tying the knot, here is a card for you. I love the Definitely Dahlia background stamp and, despite the simplicity of the card, I think it turned out rather striking. The color combo from the CCMC 366 goes together with perfection. I use the sentiment from the Happy Notes stamp set cut out using the Lots of Labels framelits. A touch of candy dots and the card is ready to add another smile on the happy couple's face.

Thank you so much for visiting today. Please come back soon. Be well
