Moving?

The warm weather is moving and the fresh cool air is settling as we brace ourselves for Autumn and let''s not think of what will follow.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, new home card, farmer's market dsp, festive fireplace stamp set, festive fireplace framelits, pearls, candy dots, su

Despite of busy schedule, I still had some time to prepare a card to enter at the Mojo Monday challenge 417 and play with the new Festive Fireplace stamp set/bundle. I made the card thinking of a New Home card, but my daughter sees a holiday card. Well, even better, the card can be used for either! Love a winner.

Thank you for visiting today and please come again. Be well

Cake? Yes please.

This weekend was one of my craft fairs and we could not have asked for better weather and crowd. It was beautiful all around. Outdoors events can be tricky and a rainy day or wind day is goof for paper only if you are in a cozy indoors. Thankfully there was no rain or wind.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, pp, birthday card, bohemian dsp, sketched birthday, pleasant poppies, big day stamp set, scalloped edge border punch, su

I had little to no time for crafting over the weekend. Saturday was busy too getting ahead with chores and making sure the house was supplied with fresh food for the week. Now I have time to go back to my craft area and play a bit. A birthday card seems in order and I used The Paper Players' challenge 264 to create this one. The Bohemian dsp was used here in the lower panel and the Rich Razzleberry added a pop to the Delightful Dijon on the paper. The stamp sets are both retired, but I love them both. The Pleasant Poppies has been a favorite and I kept for my use, the Big Day is from 2015 Sale-a-Bration, and the sentiment is from Birthday Sketch. Didn't they go along beautifully? A touch of ribbon and a perfect bow adds the final icing to this cake. Go ahead and have a bite!

Thank you for visiting today and for all the kind words. I love to read them all, but not always get to reply to each and everyone of you. I do appreciate and enjoy them all.

Halloween Boo!

Well, we certainly are enjoying warmer than usual temperatures, and I honestly am hoping for a Halloween in shorts and t-shirts. I lived in Florida for a few years, and that's what was like on Halloween. It was fantastic.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, halloween, lovely as a tree, perpetual birthday calendar, owl punch, bird builder punch, su

Reminiscing aside, Halloween is around the corner and the colors from the Dostamper Stars challenge 150 are perfect for a Boo card. I still remember my very first Halloween as I was 27 years old. I had a blast and so did my friend's little girl. I drove her nuts getting ahead to get the candies. It was all in good fun, and in the end she got the candy anyways. For today's card a bit of Owl Builder Punch to make the ghost, Lovely as a Tree staged the background, a bit of circle punch for the pumpkin, and a bit of bats from the Perpetual Birthday calendar to finish the theme and we are ready to go Boo around town. And this time, the children, only, will get their candy!

Thank you for visiting today and get more inspiration from the other Dostamper Stars. Be well

This for you.

well, this week was not set for a good start, but it will all get much better as it goes by. It must be the first day of Autumn that threw me a curve ball. I sure need a reason to toast.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demosntrator, sssc, masculine card, mosaic madness, big shot, starburst framelits, argyle tief, mosaic punch, su

How about if I just celebrate the Autumn with a masculine card? Well then, here it is for you all. I pulled out an assortment of retired product to include: Mosaic Madness stamp set, Starburst Framelit, Argyle TIEF, the DSP paper and the sentiment are also retired. The sketch from the SSSC 287 is perfect for the Starburst framelit and that was my initial inspiration. Now, let's pull out some of our retired, combine with some new product and make some beautiful cards.

Thank you for your visit today. My doors are always open and I welcome all of you to come, see, share, enjoy, and be happy. Be well

Miriam

Colors.

CCMC373

The approach of colors are now upon us. I enjoy the beauty of autumn foliage and around my neighborhood there is a street that turns gold and it is stunning to drive on that street and be showered with that beautiful colors.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, pp, ccmc, all occasions card, sheltering tree stamp set, big shot, labels collection, su

Today I am getting two inspiration for one card. I got the sketch from CCMC 373 and the theme is from the Paper Players challenge 263.  Of course I was keen to use the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set and it alone sufficed. I used three colors for the leaves: Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist, and Cajun Craze. The tree trunk is in Soft Suede and the grass is Garden Green. For the image, I use the Labels for the image, which I cut first than went on stamping and getting the image dressed up. I did not want to add more to the card, so a simple, and now retired, DSP along with Burlap Ribbon was enough to get the look completed. I love it and can almost smell the Autumn.

Change of theme.

Ah, the joy of windows open, the wonderful sensation of warmth running through the house with the breeze, and overall happiness that summer days bring to me is still upon us, and I hope it stays for a while more. Do you enjoy the summer months?

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, all occasions card, floral wings, banner triple punch, subtles DSP, su

I am still drawing inspiration from the beautiful weather and from challenges such as Dostamper stars challenge 149. as you can see I stir away from the dinosaurs and instead created a card that is more subtle and can easily be used for a baby shower card. The image is from the Floral Wings hostess stamp set and I decided against a specific sentiment as this can be a card for any occasion. The Banner Triple Punch came to work yet again and a bit of Candy Dot in Marina Mist was put to work. The cotton ribbon always make for a great bow when using My Bow Maker.

Thank you for visiting today. Take a moment to share some love and also to visit other Dostamper Stars for more inspiration.

Be well

It's bakc!

Summer that is. We had yet another heat wave and I am so excited about it. Windows are open, the breeze is blowing, the air is nice and warm, and I am thriving. Took a long walk on Monday afternoon and feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin was simply priceless.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, pp, all occasions card, sweet li'l things dsp, watercolor wings bundle, perpetual birthday calendar, big shot, lots of labels framelits, softly falling tief, banner triple punch, su

And on that walk, a butterfly came and greeted me but gently brushing against my arm before flying away.  A perfect inspiration for The Paper Players challenge 262. The Watercolor Wings stamp set and its matching framelits gave me the inspiration image, and the Perpetual Birthday calendar stamp set completed the banner.  I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to add the So Saffron splashes. The Lots of Labels framelit was used for the butterfly background and the new Softly Falling TIEF completed the touch on that background. A touch of elegant Lost Lagoon ribbon and bow and voilá, another salutation to the summer.

Thank you for visiting today. I truly appreciate seeing you here. Be well

Cool as cucumber

PPA267

Yet another productive weekend in my house, and some down time too, so a balance can be achieved. I got some fresh mulch on my garden in preparation for the fall, so I will not have too much once Spring arrives.  I am still harvesting some produce, but we all know that this will not last too long. Enjoy my roasted tomatoes and basil throughout the winter I will.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonsrtator, ppa, birthday card, schoolhouse dsp, tea lace paper doilies, bring on the cake, I love lace, banner triple punch, su

The colors for the Pals Paper Players challenge 267 are nice and soothing. I like the combination a lot and will repeat those colors and other projects! For today's card, I used the Schoolhouse DSP and combined the I Love Lace background stamp to give a soft touch. The sentiment is from the now retired Bring on the Cake stamp set, but I like how it worked on this card. The Tea Lace paper doily enhanced the softness of the card and the little perfect bow finish the perfection. I can never get a wrong bow with My Bow Maker! Love that little tool.

Thank you for visiting today. I truly appreciate you taking the time to stop by.

Be well

Change is in the air.

CCMC372

Are we all enjoying a last bits of summer weather? I know we had a very good first week of September, but this past week we got all the rain we could got. It was needed and lots of new greenery emerged.  If the weather gets warm again, it will be almost like a second summer! I would not mind that at all.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ccmc, birthday card, lullaby dsp, lotus blossom stamp set, teeny tiny wishes stamp set. big shot, banner framelit, su

But in the end we all know that the fall is around the corner and we will see much more of reds and yellows, against beautiful blue sky. I got started with some fall colors by playing along the CCMC 372.  I used a bit of old, the Lullaby DSP and the Lotus  Blossoms stamp set, which is one favorite of mine. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and I thought it was adequately occupying the little corner of the card.

Thank you for your visit today. I hope you will have a lovely day and please come back again soon.

Be well

Miriam

Mixed Seasons

I have been very happy with all the DSP from the Annual Catalog, not only because they are beautiful, but because I have been using them in a very diverse way.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, thank you, merry moments dsp, a whole lot of lovely, curvy corner trio punch, dsc, perfect polka dot, texture boutique machine, su

And today I continue with that trend. The Merry Moments dsp served as the background for this Thank You card, that is not all that seasonal in looks. The sketch is from the Dostamper Stars challenge 148 and it was easy to pick the sentiment from A Whole Lot of Lovely hostess stamp set to fill the image panel of the sketch. The Curvy Corner Trio Punch came to the table and offered the beautiful touch to the corners. I love it.

Take a moment to visit and see more inspiration for this challenge from other Dostamper Stars:

Simply the best.

The labor day weekend had the perfect summer weather for all of us to enjoy. It was nice and hot and we all enjoy some time at the pool and soaking in all that wonderful heat and humidity. Honestly, as hot as it was, it felt so good to feel that hot. It has been a long time since I felt hot. This week may change all that, but the long weekend was indeed simply the best.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, sssc, all occasions card, farmer's market dsp, pretty petals dsp, bountiful border, chevron ribbon, su

Back to our normal routine and still adapting to the virtual school, I am finding time to play a bit on my craft area. I know it will be a while before we have a nice routine settled, but we are working on it. I prepared a card for the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge 285 and made it to honor all of you that are never afraid to show your very best. I used two dsp on this card: Pretty Petals and Farmers Market. The image is from the Bountiful Border which I hand cut to add a bit of dimension to the card. A touch of Calypso Coral chevron ribbon and this card is ready for the best!

Thank you for your visit. I enjoy it every bit and hope you did too.

Fall? Not yet.

PPA266

The colors are not arriving, other than, with this week's heat wave, my tomatoes are finally showing some colors. I am so happy to see spots of red all over my garden. I can hardly wait to get those babies roasted and delicious.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa, thank you, pretty petals dsp, bohemian dsp, sheltering tree stamp set, curvy corner trio punch, su

While waiting, why not play a bit? The colors from the Pals Paper Players challenge 266 are beautiful but do bring a hint of fall. I took the hint and went for a fall looking card using the Sheltering Tree for all the stamped images and sentiment. That is a truly complete stamp set, don't you think? The background paper is from the Pretty Petals dsp stack and the small strip on the front is from Bohemian dsp.  I considered adding a butterfly, but instead I used the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch to add a small detail on the top left corner. I truly like this punch. Now, for the tree I used the back side of the stamp to get the Old Olive layer, then I cleaned it, flipped it back to the "correct" position and proceed to add a bit of Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon.

Salud!

Well, we have arrived at the end of our first Virtual School week, and I am happy to say that so far things are going as planned. My younger has been doing it for two weeks, but I started earlier to get a hang of the schedule, and he is only kindergarten. My older is 5th grade now, and this was her first official week.  We are all figuring things out and moving as we learn.

I have spend some time in my craft area, but not as much as I wish. That's ok. I do what I can when possible. Today's card I made based on The Paper Players challenge 260, and chose to use ribbon, ovals, and sequins. Birthday Blossoms was used as the corner flowers and the sentiment is from a favorite retired set, Perfectly Penned, which I kept and have used many times over. I did use several retired items here: the DSP, the Large Scallop edge and its matching texture folder, and even the Blackberry Bliss Ribbon. Certainly I can say that I admire how this looks came together. Love it.

Thanks for your visit today. Be well

Miriam

You did great.

Recently my mother -in-law received a diagnostic of breast cancer. She moved quickly and decide to have a mastectomy. My husband is spending this week at her house helping to care for her, but mostly helping with his father whom has had a declining health for many years now. He returns tomorrow and I am positive this have been a changing experience for him.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, masculine card, thank you, summer silhouettes, happy notes, big shot, lots of labels framelits, candy dots, su

I am sure my mother-in-law appreciate the fact that he went to be there at this time, and I am very happy he did it. They do not have daughters, so they boys must step up and do what is needed to do. Today's card is a way to thank him for doing that. The Dostamper Stars challenge 147 gave the perfect color combination for the masculine card and I pulled out some retired DSP to complete the color combo. The image is from Summer Silhouettes and the sentiment from Happy Notes stamp set, which was cut with the matching Lots of Labels framelits.

I hope you are also very thankful for the men in your life. Thank you for visiting today and make sure to visit the other Dostamper Stars for more inspirations on this challenge. Be well
