Cheer up.

PPA-294-Mar31

At the time of this writing, in WI we had experienced some Spring weather, a snow storm, followed by a temperature climb to 60F. It is hard on the body to have so much temperature variations, and we have seen a lot of people getting sick.

Hence my Get Well card. We have seem our children get really sick this past month, and we have seem many friends get sick too. I hear of some getting a cold/flu to last 3 weeks. Not fun. For those near by we may bring a meal or help whichever way needed, but for those far apart we can only offer a prayer to them. My card came together based on the sketch from Pals Paper Arts 294. I do like making get well card that has punch of colors and therefore I went for some bold colors. I used the Schoolhouse DSP for part of the background atop the Basic Gray. The Delicate Doilies framelit gave a beautiful and happy background for the sentiment, which is from Rose Wonder stamp set, cut from Deco Labels. The Pacific Point ribbon - love it - added the last bit of punch of color. This card is sure to bring a bit of sunshine for anyone under the weather.

Thank you for your visit today. I pray that you and yours are all doing well.

Miriam

Perfect day.

PPA-288-Feb18

Wow, our Friday around WI was a day of high winds. The winds was blowing fiercely all day on Friday and way into the evening. There was still a bit of it on Saturday, but both days the sun was shinning, the temperature was higher and all the snow is melted.

The cold air is due to return, but we hope that it will not stay for long. Let's celebrate the beautiful days, the mild winter, and the Spring that will soon sprung. Today I am inspired by the Pals Paper Arts challenge 288. I wanted a neutral Birthday Card and this one fits the bill. The sentiment is from the Vintage Verses, a retired Stampin' Up! set, which was cut with the Labels collection framelits. The paper is the Schoolhouse DSP and a bit of rhinestone and a bold ribbon suffice to make a final statement. A perfect card, for a perfect person, in a perfect day.

Thank you for visiting today. Please do come back again. Be well

Miriam

HBD 2 U

This week, as I worked on my basement and got some stuff that need to find a new home, I got my hand rammed on the door knob and the pain was absolutely excruciating. I tended to my hand immediately with ice and I could not even feel the cold of the ice pack. My husband got me some sports tape and that kept the hand from becoming completely black and blue. I am glad to say that the ice, the tape, and essential oils took care of my hand and I am now pain free.

I am mostly done with moving stuff and re-arranging the basement, and find it a bit difficult to be creative when there is some disorder around me. Nonetheless I was able to prepare a card for today's challenge. I almost completed the card without any stamp, but the white was too white, and I used the Gorgeous Grunge to break a bit of it with the Daffodil Delight ink pad. I stamped the streak stamp one time on the horizontal and then on the vertical until all the area was covered.  The stripes in Pacific Point was adhered into place prior to cutting the letters and I wish for a colorful background. Then I cut the "2" and "D" on Whisper White before adhering it to the Pacific Point layer. This would be the perfect card for a young gentleman celebrating another great year.

Thank you for visiting today. I appreciate you stopping by and invite you to visit other Dostamper Stars to get more inspiration. Be well

Miriam

Congrats, dude.

I am not sure about your location, but around Wisconsin we are enjoying some beautiful and warm weather. The windows are open and the breeze feels so wonderful. I walk at leisure just so I can enjoy a bit of this wonderful weather.

I have also enjoyed some time in my craft room, which is always a bonus. I continue with my birthday cards projects, but today decided on a masculine card with an open theme. The sketch is from Dostamper Stars challenge 154, but I changed it a bit. A congratulations card can be used for so many things, that I like that for masculine cards. The image is from the Traveler stamp set and the sentiment is from the Something to Say stamp set. Remember that all stamps sets are 15% until the 23rd of October. The background paper is from the Schoolhouse dsp and I went double duty on the ribbon using a Pacific Point and the Linen Thread on top. I love the looks of it and will repeat that. How did you like that? I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you will visit again.

Thank you for stopping by and remember you can always get more inspiration from all the Dostamper stars. Be well

Miriam

Cool as cucumber

PPA267

Yet another productive weekend in my house, and some down time too, so a balance can be achieved. I got some fresh mulch on my garden in preparation for the fall, so I will not have too much once Spring arrives.  I am still harvesting some produce, but we all know that this will not last too long. Enjoy my roasted tomatoes and basil throughout the winter I will.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonsrtator, ppa, birthday card, schoolhouse dsp, tea lace paper doilies, bring on the cake, I love lace, banner triple punch, su

The colors for the Pals Paper Players challenge 267 are nice and soothing. I like the combination a lot and will repeat those colors and other projects! For today's card, I used the Schoolhouse DSP and combined the I Love Lace background stamp to give a soft touch. The sentiment is from the now retired Bring on the Cake stamp set, but I like how it worked on this card. The Tea Lace paper doily enhanced the softness of the card and the little perfect bow finish the perfection. I can never get a wrong bow with My Bow Maker! Love that little tool.

Thank you for visiting today. I truly appreciate you taking the time to stop by.

Be well

Miriam

That's nice.

CCMC370

I am so happy that the summer has returned to us and I hope it will not shy away for a while now. The house feels warm again and the plants, bids, butterflies, and people are all very happy. I know I am.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ccmc, all occasions card, schoolhouse dsp, awesomely artistic, bridal shower card, su

Nothing better to greet summer back as a beautiful card with colors that only summer - and Stampin' Up! - can provide. Of course, CCMC 370 seized the opportunity and created this challenge. Well, what can I say, may as well play, right? Indeed. Awesomely Artistic stamp set provided for the images and the Schoolhouse DSP provided the background. I can certainly see this card being used as a Bridal Shower card, as the small textured hearts sure gives that special touch. Or maybe an anniversary card. What do you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a fantastic week. Be well

Miriam

To the school.

This week we got ready preparing for the new school year. We have opted to go with a Virtual School this year and we had the Family orientation yesterday. It took all morning and the amount of information is somewhat overwhelming. After all that we were all hungry and ready for a break from all that information overload. Are you preparing for a new school year? How is it coming along?

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, birthday card, schoolhouse dsp, bountiful border, itty bitty accents punch, su

After lunch we all had time to think about the new school and also get dome ideas flowing. After that I declare it was time to do some creative work and to the basement we went. I receive some supplies yesterday and want to use them.  I want a festive looking card and considering the events of the day, the Schoolhouse DSP was very appropriate. The sketch from Mojo Monday challenge 411 was perfect to use the image from the Bountiful Border stamp set and I add a little perfect bow to give this card all the nice little touch of a perfect bow for a pretty girl's hair.
