So many inspiration.

I am sure this is not only happening around my area, and I love the looks of it. What I mean? The succulent crazy that is going on at the moment. They are so pretty and delicate and I see them everywhere. Therefore, they are a big source of inspiration.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, all occasions card, botanical gardens dsp, oh so succulent stamp set, succulent framelits, big shot, layering circles, lovely lace tief, su

That, combined with the Color challenge from DoStamper Star 224 and the stunning Oh So Succulent stamp set and framelit, a winner was crowned. I did not have to add much but I added a bit of ribbon and also a retired dsp that brought hints of green to the card. Now, the big plant was cut in Mint Macaron, believe it or not. I sponged it with Old Olive on the center parts and a spread towards the edge. But stopped short to allow room for a bit of Sweet Sugarplum to give that bit of reality to the plant. I used dimensional on the largest and the other 2 layers for a 3d effect. I also popped the little flowers with dimensional. For the background, I could not have a flat piece of paper, therefore texture was my best friend. Today the Lovely Lace answer to the call of duty beautifully. I absolutely love the looks of this card and hope you will too.

Thank you for your visit. Hope you will find some inspiration here and all around. Be well

Miriam

Party month.

Well, March comes to a close and so do the avalanche of birthdays I had during this month. It is fun and I get to send out lots of cards. now I can start to stocking up for the rest of the year!

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, birthday card, pp, party animal dsp, christmas pines stamp set, birthday blossoms stamp set, big shot, layering circles, party animal embellishment, su

Today I am participating in The Paper Players 337 and using supplies that I received from DoStamper to create a fun card. The sketch came handy and I used the Christmas Pines for the sentiment and focal image. Now I did fussy cut the image, which I think totally enhances it. The sentiment is from Birthday Blossoms and it was stamped in Dapper Denin. The beautiful and fun Party Animal DSP served as a background and also the vertical portion of the sketch. Another element from the same suit is the little hat from Party Animal Embellishment. It is so cute.

I hope you are making, and sending, plenty birthday cards this year. Go ahead, get inspired, create something, and make someone smile.

Thank you for visiting today. Be well

Miriam

Spring Sampler

Image may contain: text

The first day of Spring has arrived and it appears that brought Spring weather along. Beautiful sunny days has bathed us and the birds are happy making nests, singing, dancing in the air. What a blessing to wake up, hear this wonderfully beautiful music, seeing all the beauty around us, and having an eternal hope for a fantastic season.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, all occasions card, best birds stamp set, hardwood background stamp, big shot, swirly scribbles thinlits, birds & blooms thinlits, flourish thinlits, detailed dragonfly thinlits, beautiful wings, itty bitty shapes punch, su

In a glorious homage to Spring, I made this card to participate in the DoStamper Stars 223. A sampler of what Spring will bring forth. The Best Birds stamp set provided the beautiful and delicate cherry blossom, the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits gave the bee new heights;  the Birds & Blossoms thinlits brought the bird in search for the ideal place for its new nest; the Flourish thinlits reminded us of all the leaves that soon will show its spectacular hues of green; the Beautiful Wings Embossilit, retired, but still fantastic, gave me the right size butterfly, and the final touch came from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, also retired. All of them perfectly nested in the Swirly Scribbles thinlits. Oh, I love Spring and Summer. I have been watching a couple of birds making a nest in our back porch. They are busy at work and we sure are happy and honored to have them so close to us.

Thank you so much for visiting today. Happy Spring to all. Be well

Miriam

Color me Pretty.

Since we are all covered with White stuff, adding color, even if in paper only, is my best choice for the day. I was hoping to see some Spring colors soon and I know some of my Tulips were working on peaking out of the soil and the Crocus too. Now we are back on waiting for it all to go away for good.

The Watercolor Pencils from Stampin' Up! are the best. I have been playing with them a lot and fear I will need an extra box soon. I love how soft they are and how well they blend. For today's card for DoStamper Stars 222 I used the Falling Flowers stamp set and had a wonderful time coloring the flowers and leaves. However, rather than going watercolor effect, I color as I would with regular pencil, and blend a bit using the White pencil. While you cannot get the watercolor effect, I like the softness that it gives by blending it this way. I used the Lovely Lace TIEF for the background and sponged a bit with the Calypso Coral just to enhance the texture. I added a Scallop circle from the Layering Circles to set the flowers. Beautiful card that sure makes an statement.

Thank you so much for your visit today. I hope you found an inspiration to create something too. Be well.
