So many inspiration.

http://dostamping.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f9444b9883301b8d2640760970c-pi

I am sure this is not only happening around my area, and I love the looks of it. What I mean? The succulent crazy that is going on at the moment. They are so pretty and delicate and I see them everywhere. Therefore, they are a big source of inspiration.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, all occasions card, botanical gardens dsp, oh so succulent stamp set, succulent framelits, big shot, layering circles, lovely lace tief, su

That, combined with the Color challenge from DoStamper Star 224 and the stunning Oh So Succulent stamp set and framelit, a winner was crowned. I did not have to add much but I added a bit of ribbon and also a retired dsp that brought hints of green to the card. Now, the big plant was cut in Mint Macaron, believe it or not. I sponged it with Old Olive on the center parts and a spread towards the edge. But stopped short to allow room for a bit of Sweet Sugarplum to give that bit of reality to the plant. I used dimensional on the largest and the other 2 layers for a 3d effect. I also popped the little flowers with dimensional. For the background, I could not have a flat piece of paper, therefore texture was my best friend. Today the Lovely Lace answer to the call of duty beautifully. I absolutely love the looks of this card and hope you will too.

Thank you for your visit. Hope you will find some inspiration here and all around. Be well

Miriam

Saga, part III

Along the years I have learned that colors has different meaning in distinct cultures. In Brazil, we say that all is blue meaning that all is very well, but I learned that being blue in America does not reflect the same sentiment. I like the happier perspective.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, wedding card, botanical gardens dsp, gift of love stamp set, rose wonder stamp set, big shot, lots of labels framelits, su

Green, for us, is the color of Hope, and Yellow, the color of friendship. I incorporated these colors for today's Dostamper Stars 187, and since the colors means so much a wedding card in those colors seems a perfect idea. The background is from the Botanical Gardens dsp, which we all have to give it a good bye as it retired. The image is from the beautiful new hostess set Gift of Love. The minute I saw that set I had to have it. I love it. The sentiment, which was cut using the Lots of Labels framelits is from the Rose Wonder stamp set, which is also a favorite of mine. I sponged the contour of the cut out to give a bit of depth and to stand out. A bit of pearls at the bottom added a delicate touch.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you found inspiration in today's project. Remember to take a moment to leave me a note and to visit the other Dostamper Stars. Be well

Miriam

Gentle rain.

Tuesday was a beautiful rainy day. A gentle rain that soaks the ground and provide plenty moisture for the plants to grow. The kind of rain that makes you cuddle with a book and some hot drink. The kind of rain that gives the birds a chance to bath and be ever so happy. A peaceful, beautiful rainy day.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, thank you, awesomely artistic, simply sketched, texture boutique machine, elegant dots tief, botanical gardens dsp, su

Also a kind of day that gives a chance to play in the craft room and create some cards. I made this card for the Mojo Monday 447 and I am rather pleased with the result. I went for green since that is the most seeing color around my area now. A touch of Watermelon Wonder gave just the fine balance of color without breaking any harmony. The images are from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set and the sentiment from the Simply Sketched stamp set. I love both of them and they made a beautiful pair. I was not going to do anything with the Pear Pizzazz panel, but I just could not resist adding a bit texture to the card. I love it how the Elegant Dots TIEF completed the looks. The paper for the background is the Botanical Gardens dsp, and it worked beautifully.

I hope you enjoy my card today, just as much as I have enjoyed your visit. Be well

Watercolor? Sure!

CCMC401

We are ready to catch a break this week and the weather seems like is going to be bringing us some much wanted warmth. I am looking forward to it. This week is going to be busy but it is going to be wonderful too.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ccmc, all occasions card, botanical gardens dsp, sweet li'l things dsp, stippled blossoms, big shot, deco labels collections, curvy corner trio punch, banner triple punch, su

Despite the small warm up and the busy week ahead, I was able to craft a bit. I prepare this card for CCMC 401 using the Stippled Blossoms stamp set for image. I stamped it in watercolor paper and after stamping each layer, I smoothed out the edges with the watercolor brush. It softens the image so well and I love the final effect. The same was done in the leaves. I used the Botanical Gardens DSP for the Mossy Green background and Sweet Lil' Thing DSP for the banner. The image was cut out with the Deco Labels and the Daffodil Delight piece had its corner rounded with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch. A fun and bold all occasions card. Enjoy.

Thank you for visiting and please share your love. Be well
