Well, I have been on the Birthday Cards frenzy and then it dawn on me that to celebrate any birthday there first must be a baby. Why not a baby card then?

And that's precisely what I did with the Mojo Monday challenge 437. I used the Sweet Lil' Thing DSP for the background, and was not sure what to use for the square, and upon digging my piles I found the lovely Best Year Ever DSP and it is a perfect match. As for the image and sentiment I used the also retired Sweetest Gift stamp set. The ribbon was one of the freebies from last year Sale-a-Bration and since we are under Sale-A-Bration, why not use some of the past products.

Forth?

Just saw that a friend of mine made an official announcement that they are pregnant with their 4th child. I was rather surprise and happy for her. When I was pregnant with my last, she was pregnant too, so our children is just about 2 month in age difference.

For the talks I hear they anticipate this baby to be a boy, so I went ahead and got a baby card ready, as I know I will be using soon... well, relatively soon. I am sure I will be making a neutral, and a baby girl card too. Just in case. For today's card I used the FSM challenge 222 for the sketch. I used the Sweet Lil' Things DSP for both layers and the sentiment from the And Many more stamp set. A simple card for a new baby, the perfect expression of life. Simple and Pure.

Hello Baby

This past two weeks were all too busy and honestly I could use two extra days to get all of it done. Nothing like having some extra time to play at my craft room to start a new week.

It has been a while since I made some baby cards, as I was in need of birthday cards for the past two months. I am entering today's card on the Mojo Monday challenge 427. I used the Sweet Lil' Thing dsp for the layer and also for the square images. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, which was cut using the Lots of Labels framelits and to top it all off, I added the luscious satin ribbon and bow. I love that little fox and the turtle from the DSP and the starts and snoozing images just send off a wish for a sweet baby.

There comes the stork.

Yes, I am still on baby cards mode. Since my friend's baby shower I got several cards made. I really love today's card, so shall we get to it?

Now, perhaps is just the mode in my mind, but when I saw the RetroSketch Challenge 176 I saw a baby card in it! I know, I know. Nonetheless, I figure I would transfer the card from my mind to the paper. I like the results from the combination of the Sweet Lil' Thing DSP,  the Stars Confetti Punch, a bit of the Scallop Edge punch, with the single image of that smart stork from a retired stamp set. I decided on a touch of a pretty ribbon and a perfect bow rather than a sentiment and I think it was a perfect touch.  My friend is having a baby girl, and I think this card can easily be changed to a more girly tones.

Oh baby!

This past weekend me and 2 friends were the hostesses of a baby shower for a very dear friend of ours. We did everything: from invitation to food to clean up after the party. It was lovely and we had a wonderful time celebrating her new baby. I did make few extra baby cards and got on the mode for baby cards.

Then I continued working on that since the Sweet Lil' Thing DSP is simply lovely and has called my name several times over. I picked up the challenge for the Pals Paper Players challenge 262 for this card and the color combo is just perfect for a baby card. The clouds on the paper are so beautiful and peaceful that I chose the elephant image from the Zoo Baby stamp set as I see elephants as very peaceful animals. The sentiment is from the now retired Little Banners but it fits so well with the card. The Deco Labels framelit fit the image with perfection and I followed it up with a layer and I also snipped a second image of the elephant to use the ears and give a bit of a lift. A touch of ribbon and this card is sure to please a mother-to-be.

Look who has arrived!

I have several friends that just recently became pregnant and it seems like a surge around here. I guess one can blame in the cold weather!

Of course there will be need for baby cards, and using the Color Challenge 518 from Splitcoast Stampers, I made a baby card to keep on my stash for s near future use. I did not add any Crisp Cantaloupe to this card, but it can easily be made in a baby girl card by switching the baker's twine and the sheet of the Lullaby DSP. The stamp is the now retired Sweetest Gift, which I am happy to put into use and by using the Labels Collection Framelits it sure made the image pop. I like it!

Sleep baby, sleep.

Since I got back from my vacation, I feel that time just went by without any ceremony. I cannot believe it is Friday already and I almost missed some of my favorite challenges this week.

Fortunately to me, my children had lesson out of the house today and I was able to play a bit. I checked the Mojo Monday Challenge 381 and immediately an idea flourished in my mind.
