Grateful

With a busy weekend, and it appears that lots of students had a busy weekend too with graduation, I can say that I am grateful for times like there. The feeling of accomplishment is a tremendous pay off.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, sssc 269, thank you, confetti celebration dsp, big shot, labels collection, banner punch, su

I found some time on Sunday to play in my craft room and get some cards made. My husband took the children for a bit of nature time and I had the house all to myself. The silence, sometimes is a precious thing. I then looked up challenges for today, did a bit of perusing in the internet, and got busy with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 269 for this cards. I am working on clearing up space for the new catalog products and DSP are just something that I must move. Today's choice is the Confetti Celebration along with the Let your Hair Down stamp set. The Labels Collection framelit cut the sentiment and a bit of retired trim to finish up this card. Loved it.

On a completely separate note, as a child I loved reading dictionaries. For the sake of learning words and its meaning. Today I saw one that I never encountered before: Haberdasher. Do you know the meaning of it? Of course I looked up, but if you have not, take a moment and do it. Have fun!

Hi mom!

We knew these beautiful colors were going to wave good bye, but it is hard to see them go as they are such a pretty bunch. I have stocked up and plan on continue to use them for some time.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, mstampinwihtyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, mother's day card, confetti celebration dsp, delightful dozen, I like you stamp set, texture boutique machine, spring flowers TIEF, extra large oval punch, decorative label punch, su

Every year when the Retiring list comes out, I revisit some old favorites. This time I picked up the Delightful Dozen for the sentiment and the Scalloped Dotted Border punch. Those are favorites of mine and I am having a hard time parting with them. Another one taking leave is the I Like You hostess set, but look at that potential! For a bit of texture, how about the lovely Spring Flowers TIEF? A mother deserves all that and much more. So, share some love, get some of these lovely products and share them with your mom; create beautiful projects and memories too!

This color combo is so great and for you to get even more inspiration, visit these other fine Stars:

Sweet Celebration

I started preparing this post, however I got watching a program about Audrey Hepburn and it was such a story that I put my computer aside and went on learning about this extraordinary woman. Her life was certainly well lived, but not free from lots of pain and suffering.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, sc532, confetti celebration dsp, cycle celebration, decorative label punch, large oval punch, best year ever accessory pack, birthday card, su

This card was ready, so I stuck with it. I think Audrey would find it a fun card, and I think a young girl would find the card cheerful too. The DSP of choice here is the Confetti Celebration and all the pieces came from that. I have not used the Cycle Celebration stamp set for a while, and the greeting was perfect for a fun, relaxed card, don't you think? A bit of ribbon to complete the looks from the sketch challenge 532 from Splitcoast Stamper, and the card was done. Too bad I was not as quick with the post!
Have a beautiful day. Thank you for visiting and please stop by again soon.

Spring Equinox!

PPA244

Temperature wise, I would not say that Spring has arrived, but since all the snow around us is melted and it is a bit warmer than it was, I am happy that we are on a good trend. I started  tomato seeds and collard greens, for now. I have done some work on my garden and hope to soon be spending more time outdoors.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa244, all occasions card, masculine card, back to black dsp, confetti celebration dsp, moon lake stamp set, big shot, deco labels collections, su

For now, I am doing what I can, but also taking care of my sinus which is almost all better. This was a good week overall, and despite me being busy I had time to get several projects done. I had a party this week as well, and the ladies truly had a great time and enjoyed themselves. So, for today's card I will be entering it in the Pals Paper Arts Challenge 244. Spring bring birds back, and I like having them all around, including in projects. This one is from Moon Lake stamp set. Mixing a bit of DSP works well too, and in this one I went for the Back to Black and Confetti Celebration.
Thank you for your visit today. Please take a moment and share some love. Remember to subscribe to my blog and follow it too. I love having you around!

Please, not again.

PPA243

Well, the weather took a rather nice turn and brought us sunshine and above freezing temperatures all week long. All snow has melted and I even took the time to do some basic maintenance to my garden. I sure hope the temperatures remain so, and the sun continues to shine bright.

However, I started feeling a bit ill again. Last time I felt this way I ended up with a nasty sinus infection along with a cough that lasted two months. I am taking this serious now and using some essentials oils and vitamins and resting. So, I did prepare this card two days ago, but honestly was busy with club night and did have much energy for anything else. Since when I made I was already feeling like something was coming up, I decided on a Get Well card. The sketch is from the Freshly Made Sketch challenge 177, and the color combination is from the Pals Paper Arts challenge 243. I went for a simple look with a small Petite Petals stamp set and punch. The Finishing Touches Edgelits is ever so delicate that deserved a place on this card. I feel better just by looking at it.
I hope that the weather, wherever you may be, is wonderful and that you are enjoying wonderful health.

Blue happy! Simply Wonderful

 12-11

Busy day yesterday with lots of errands to run and a recital of the advanced children form the violin school my children attend. It was a wonderful recital, as usual. However, I did find time to play with my new products.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa 231, confetti celebration dsp, big shot, apothecary accents framelit, chalk talk framelit, simply wonderful sab stamp set, su

Today I went with Pals Paper Arts challenge 231 and decide to keep the card very simple to showcase one stamp for the Simply Wonderful stamp set that you will be able to earn it for free during Sale-A-Bration. I use the Apothecary Accent framelit to cut the sentiment and the background for it too.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa, confetti celebration dsp, big shot, apothecary accents framelit, chalk talk framelit, simply wonderful sab stamp set, su

I like to add details to my envelopes, and the Simply Wonderful set had just the perfect little detail for that.  A touch of ribbon and a perfect bow, and the card is put together and ready to be sent out to brighten somebody's day. Remember that you can also get perfect looking bow each and every time. You can book a party - even a virtual one - before December 16th to be held in January, and you will receive a free bow maker as a gift from me. Or you can also place an order of $50.00 before shipping and handling and you shall receive one My Bow Maker for free.

You are the best!

This week I experienced, for the first time in my life, a sinus infection. Well, I did not like it one bit and will live happily ever after if I never get another one. But, that did not stop me from doing some cards, which was the best part of my day yesterday. Yay to paper crafting!

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, fusion, confetti celebration dsp, starburst framelits, papillon potpourri, big shot, elegant butterfly, bitty butterfly, starburst sayings, su

I made this card using the Fusion Sparkly Christmas Challenge as an inspiration. Clearly, I did not have Christmas in mind. I have made so many Christmas cards already that I decided for something else and since I can think of lots people that are special in my life, I decided to make a card to all of you. I decided to add Basic Black to all the under layers as I like how it makes all the other colors simply pop. Since it was a while since I used the Starburst Sayings stamp set, I went for that. I want the back layer to be smaller, so I used the 2-3/8" circle scallop punch to make my own starburst. The butterflies? Well, there is always room for them.

And you wish for....

11-27
I wish for lots of peace, health, love, to all! Let's all make a wish?

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa229, confetti celebration dsp, perfect pennants, banner framelit, su

Did you make a wish? Great. I hope your wish will come true soon and hope that will make you very happy. This card today, which was sketch inspired from the Pals Paper Arts Challenge 229 and as polka dots or stars in the sky,  I hope this card will bring you even more hope to reach up. And to keep the idea of wish and celebrations, I used the Confetti Celebration DSP and the Perfect Pennants stamp set to go with that.

You are wonderful!

 Get-attachment (10)

And because we are all wonderful, I made this card thinking on all of you, the wonderful you that supports me, that gives me reason to prepare beautiful projects, and to post for your appreciation.

DSC 099, Miriam Castanho Bollinger, mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, letterpress winter stamp set, thoughts of you, confetti celebration dsp, su

A color challenge? No problem, they are far from cause me fear anymore. I enjoy them and truly cherish the opportunity to combine colors. Today's challenge is from Dostamper Stars Challenge 099.

Tips & Tricks:
  • To get the Letterpress Winter photopolymer stamp centered on the Very Vanilla layer, I cut the paper the same size as the acrylic block and centered the stamp on the block. To stamp, I made sure that the block was in line with the perimeter of the paper.
  • The Thoughts of you stamps set gave me the sentiment. However, I stamped the Wonderful first, cleaned the stamp, then inked and stamped the "you" part of the sentiment.

What do you see? A little glimpse of the Holiday Catalog!

 PPA216

I hope you did get inspired by last week's wedding theme. This week I will not work on a particular theme - although I loved it - but fret not, I may do that again in the future. However, I plan to feature some new products from the Holiday Catalog. The Letterpress Winter stamp set is a hit and I am sure I will be using it a lot.
To start the week I decided to use the sketch from the Pals Paper Arts challenge 216  and make an all occasion card.

PPA 216, Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa, letterpress winter stamp set, decorative dots tief, confetti celebration dsp, texture boutique machine, su

The color pallet from the Confetti Celebration DSP is so pleasing to the eyes and not hard to put together. Perhaps combining colors is a daunting task for you. It is for me too at times. One thing that has helped me a lot along the way is to look at the DSP collections. They are ideal to give me combinations that I may not otherwise have tried.

Blooming Happy!

Get-attachment (5)

Did you see the new Flower Patch Stamp set? If you have not, you are in for a treat! The set is amazingly beautiful and has a coordinating framelits to make it even easier and prettier. The card today was prepared for the Dostamper Stars Challenge 094 and I decide to go with a simpler looks to allow the flowers to shine!

DSC 094, Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, flower patch, confetti celebration dsp, flower fair, su

I am truly enjoying the Flower Patch and you will probably see more of it in the weeks and years ahead. The Confetti Celebration gave me the background and also the 2 little banners. Don't they look lovely?

Tips and Tricks:
  • I played with the colors a bit and decided to add the center of the larger flower in Tangelo Twist, despite of the flower being Strawberry Slush. I then added the little bit center from the Flower Patch set.
