Well, I have been on the Birthday Cards frenzy and then it dawn on me that to celebrate any birthday there first must be a baby. Why not a baby card then?

And that's precisely what I did with the Mojo Monday challenge 437. I used the Sweet Lil' Thing DSP for the background, and was not sure what to use for the square, and upon digging my piles I found the lovely Best Year Ever DSP and it is a perfect match. As for the image and sentiment I used the also retired Sweetest Gift stamp set. The ribbon was one of the freebies from last year Sale-a-Bration and since we are under Sale-A-Bration, why not use some of the past products.

Country looking.

Well, I am flying solo this week as my husband has a business trip all week. I hope that I can keep the household running smoothly and that there will be time for some crafting too.

How about this color combination from Pals Paper Arts challenge 250?  I like it and went for a neutral look that can go either feminine or masculine. Notice the lack of sentiment, so it can be for any and all occasion. Got have such cards handy for those last minute needs. I truly like background stamps as they can change the cardstock so much and so fast. The ferns are from the Beautiful Butterflies, as well as the butterfly itself. The Deco Labels paired well with the colors, and wood grain looks. A touch of ribbon will the look.

Sweet Celebration

I started preparing this post, however I got watching a program about Audrey Hepburn and it was such a story that I put my computer aside and went on learning about this extraordinary woman. Her life was certainly well lived, but not free from lots of pain and suffering.

This card was ready, so I stuck with it. I think Audrey would find it a fun card, and I think a young girl would find the card cheerful too. The DSP of choice here is the Confetti Celebration and all the pieces came from that. I have not used the Cycle Celebration stamp set for a while, and the greeting was perfect for a fun, relaxed card, don't you think? A bit of ribbon to complete the looks from the sketch challenge 532 from Splitcoast Stamper, and the card was done. Too bad I was not as quick with the post!

Happy Big Day.

Well, considering that my head is still stuck on a vice, I decided that it is time for this congestion to take a leave once and for all. A retirement card seems like the perfect order of the day.

The sketch from the Dostamper Stars Challenge 124 is my background for this card. I think it is a happy day when one finally retires, and still be able to enjoy lots of what life has to offer. The DSP selected is the Flashback, which seems appropriate to me. The image is from the Chalk Talk and the sentiment from And Many More. The bow adds the special touch and is easily knotted using My Bow Maker. I love making bows, single, double, you name it, my little device will make it. Clean and Spring!

The days are getting a bit longer, the birds are singing - well, some of the days (when they are not frozen), but Spring is yet to make its formal entrance.

So, I keep on waiting for it. In the meantime I craft and with the Clean & Simple challenge 313 from Splitcoaster Stamper it was an easy task. Still calling!

Spring that is. I was hoping that when we got the last heat wave, we would just enjoy a balm farewell from winter... But not, it was not yet done with us. I feel for the East Coast and all its winter storm this year. I hope all of you in the East Coast are doing well.

Yeah, I am truly thinking and calling Spring, but I know it will be a while before it arrives. I can dream, nonetheless. Hello Sunshine!

Our weather has been very cold again, but the sun is shining and that brings so much joy to me, that I even stepped outside - to the surprise of my children - and shoveled our driveway! It took me about 2 hours to get it all done, and I figure it was enough of a work out that I skipped my running.

Skipping running does not mean that I will forgo spending time in my craft area. My treadmill is actually in my craft area, so I normally combine activities. Well, after spending that much time outdoors, I needed to warm up; what better than get crating a card for the  Retro Sketch Challenge 151? Considering the beautiful day, a cheery card was in order. Hello dear.

After returning from vacation, it seems that my routine is running nicely. I have found time to complete all my duties as a homeschool mom, all my house chores and cooking, my running routine, and even have time for crafting. Yay!

I think of you...often

Now that w are over the "heat" wave that hit us in Wisconsin, it is time to get back indoors and enjoy some warmth in the form of love, togetherness, and honestly a break from the holidays.

I think of warm days often. When I get up in the morning and see that it is well below freezing, I just know that this will be a perfect day to spend at my craft room and have the children play around me while I play too. Today's card was inspired on the Mojo Monday challenge 378, but I kept the card to my normal measurements. I want to use the Moon Lake image and decided on the sentiment from the same set. The Bordering Blooms stamp set also added a special touch to make the banner with the two images combined, but in contrasting colors. I like the subtle colors that gave the card a peaceful and calming look; just like a warm day by the shore.

Happy New Birthday....

And the last Sunday of 2014 is past and now all the hope is deposit into the New Year. Are you ready for 2015?

I love New Year celebration even though I hardly celebrate the way I used to back in my youth days in Brazil. Sweet Memories! But for today I am just going to participate in the RetroSketch challenge 146, which is the last one of 2014. I set the background with the Typeset DSP and used the Gorgeous Grunge as a background for the Itty Bitty Accent Flowers; both the flowers and sentiment are from the Something to Say stamp set. Now, we can greet 2015 with a cool Happy Birthday card! Let the New Year begin!

2015 Catalog Transition 

As the end of the year approaches, many of you have been asking questions about the new catalog. So, here is a quick reference to help you.

• 2014 Holiday Catalog: Ends January 5
• 2015 Occasions Catalog: Starts January 6 - ends June 2
• 2015 Sale-a-Bration Brochure: Starts January 6 - ends March 31

If you're an active customer with me, your Occasions Catalog and SAB Brochure should be arriving in your mailbox soon (some have already arrived).  Let me just say..."You won't be disappointed!"
As you browse through the 2015 Occasions Catalog, you'll find that a handful of products from the 2014 Holiday Catalog are being featured (in addition to those found on page 49).  However, most will "disappear".
