New begginings

PPA-302-May26

Hello my dear friends. Hope you Memorial Day weekend was filled with family, friends, fun, joy, happiness, and freedom. We went to see a parade with a group of friends and I was glad I took our tent. It sure made a difference.

This week, despite of my sickness, I was able to appreciate the beautiful weather that came our way. We are enjoy this very warm week with beautiful sunny days. It is lovely. I finish planting my garden and I am ready to enjoy the summer and I am hoping for beautiful harvest. Now, I prepare this card thinking of a friend from violin lessons that will soon relocate to Florida. They will enjoy the mild winters and I am positive they will do beautifully well. The sketch is from the Pals Paper Players 302 and the dsp is the Pretty Petals stack. I love that paper. The image is from the Happy Notes stamp set, and considering the background I did not find necessary any other image or sentiment. The card is simple but it carries a happy new home not to it.

Thank you for visiting today. Have a fantastic week. Be well

Miriam

Still going.

Yes, the bug that got me is still going strong, I hate to say. My symptoms have changed daily and today I have a very bad upper back pain that made my day very uncomfortable. I hope that's it for this bug. It has certainly overstayed the welcome.

It could just take the hint and leave to never come back, don't you think? The inspiration from Dostamper Stars 182 is right on time for summer vacations and traveling in general. We were going to take a very short trip this weekend, but I am not well enough and we called it out. Now, hopefully I will recover and have time to make few cards and also finish planting my garden. For today's card I kept it simple - perhaps because my brain is not fully operating - just like the inspiration photo. I inked the World Traveler TIEF with Lost Lagoon and run through the Big Shot for the texture. Then I added a piece of the Going Places DSP stack on the lower half and make the separation with a bit of ribbon and Linen Thread.  The image is from the retiring Traveler stamp set which I cut out and popped up with Dimensionals. I decided on no sentiment as I figure this can be a more versatile way to use this card. Bon Voyage, perhaps?

Thank you for visiting today and for the well wishes. I hope to see you again soon and hope to enjoy a better health in the next day or two. Take a moment to get more inspiration for today's challenge by visiting the other Dostamper Stars. Be well

Oh no, it got me good.

Hello my dear readers. Well, whatever it is that got me, it got me good. I am having a lot of coughing and my throat is so sore that I can hardly speak. I sure hope it goes way quickly.

I played a bit in my craft room, and despite my aches and coughs I must say I was pleased with the result. I made today's card for the Mojo Monday 449 and went simple as the sketch. The background is the Farmers Market DSP, the images are from the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the sentiment is from the Sky is The Limit stamp set from Sale-A-Bration. It is a beautiful sentiment. I added the ribbon to follow the sketch, and I must say this is one of my favorite types of ribbon. Why? Well, it is soft, very playable, and make stunning bows. Of course, I have accumulated a stash of it before it retired.

Sorry for the short post. I am not feeling well and need to catch a bit more of rest. Thank you for visiting today. Please come again. Be well.

Miriam

It is here.

Pals Paper Arts PPA301

It is for real now.. or so we think. Spring have arrived and brought some nice and hot weather along. Over the weekend and on Monday it was rather nice, and we all enjoyed the sunshine, warm temperatures, and beauty all over.

Weekend was busy for me. With Farmer's Market on Saturday I was left with little free time to spare and could not play in my craft room. But today I decided I need that as I am a bit under the weather. I made this card for the Pals Paper Players 301 and those colors go together beautifully. I tried to use only one stamp set, but in the end, I was not able to. Images and sentiment are from the Flower Patch stamp set. The flower was cut using the matching framelits. The splash of Crushed Curry is from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I never thought I would use and love this set so much. If I am not adding texture to a card, I like to add something as to eliminate the empty spaces. I think Mother Nature deserves this card.

Thank you for your visit today. It is my pleasure to have you over and to share my ideas. Be well

Miriam

Bye tree.

As much as I appreciate nature, today we had to sacrifice a big pine tree in my backyard. A year ago or so, during a storm, the tree got a bit inclined towards the house. Considering the size of the tree, we had no choice but to sacrifice it. We gained a area that we can landscape, put some flowers and enjoy the open space left.

With flowers in my mind, I prepare today's card for the Dostamper Stars 181 using the Botanical Builder Framelits. I love this set and I am so happy it has made its way to the new Annual Catalog. I used the Farmers Market dsp, since the farmers market season is upon us. The ribbon is retired, but I have a stash of them, so fear not, you will see more of them. A simple card that can be used for so many occasions: new home, congratulations, retirement, get well. Endless possibilities.

Thank you for your visit today. Please take a moment to visit the other Dostamper Stars and get more inspiration on this sketch. Be well
