Still going.

Yes, the bug that got me is still going strong, I hate to say. My symptoms have changed daily and today I have a very bad upper back pain that made my day very uncomfortable. I hope that's it for this bug. It has certainly overstayed the welcome.

It could just take the hint and leave to never come back, don't you think? The inspiration from Dostamper Stars 182 is right on time for summer vacations and traveling in general. We were going to take a very short trip this weekend, but I am not well enough and we called it out. Now, hopefully I will recover and have time to make few cards and also finish planting my garden. For today's card I kept it simple - perhaps because my brain is not fully operating - just like the inspiration photo. I inked the World Traveler TIEF with Lost Lagoon and run through the Big Shot for the texture. Then I added a piece of the Going Places DSP stack on the lower half and make the separation with a bit of ribbon and Linen Thread.  The image is from the retiring Traveler stamp set which I cut out and popped up with Dimensionals. I decided on no sentiment as I figure this can be a more versatile way to use this card. Bon Voyage, perhaps?

Thank you for visiting today and for the well wishes. I hope to see you again soon and hope to enjoy a better health in the next day or two. Take a moment to get more inspiration for today's challenge by visiting the other Dostamper Stars. Be well

Congrats, dude.

I am not sure about your location, but around Wisconsin we are enjoying some beautiful and warm weather. The windows are open and the breeze feels so wonderful. I walk at leisure just so I can enjoy a bit of this wonderful weather.

I have also enjoyed some time in my craft room, which is always a bonus. I continue with my birthday cards projects, but today decided on a masculine card with an open theme. The sketch is from Dostamper Stars challenge 154, but I changed it a bit. A congratulations card can be used for so many things, that I like that for masculine cards. The image is from the Traveler stamp set and the sentiment is from the Something to Say stamp set. Remember that all stamps sets are 15% until the 23rd of October. The background paper is from the Schoolhouse dsp and I went double duty on the ribbon using a Pacific Point and the Linen Thread on top. I love the looks of it and will repeat that. How did you like that? I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you will visit again.

Thank you for stopping by and remember you can always get more inspiration from all the Dostamper stars. Be well

Miriam

Happy Birthday Sailor!

Birthday celebrations continue and today let's make sure the men in our lives also get a well made card. They deserve it too.

A Traveler stamp set and a Typeset Specialty DSP that features nautical map should do for a sailor, don't you think? I love the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 262, and with a simple combination, but striking results, any sailor or traveler in your life will be happy to set off in a new adventure and take you along for the ride.

Happy Birthday all around the world!

All of us have a traveler in our lives. I use to travel much more but with small children the dynamics change a lot. Travelers sometimes get to spend their birthday away from family and friends, but in different locations around the globe. Makes it for a lonely, yet very interesting birthday.

Today's card celebrate the traveler in our life and makes a nice birthday card. The color combo is from Dostamper Stars challenge 108. I kept the card very simple and the Traveler stamp set was perfect for the idea and I add heat embossing just to make a bit more fun.

There is no Coastal Cabana embossing powder available. However, you can create your own by doing a 2 step stamping: First stamp the image using the color of choice - Coastal Cabana in this case. Then stamp on your stamp-a-majig sheet, clean the stamp, ink it using Versamark, stamp the image again using, apply the clear embossing powder, and apply heat. Voilá!
