A sight.

Beautiful days were upon u so far this week and we have enjoyed a bit of fresh air, outdoors, gardening, and the sight of baby animals moving about. Of course, sounds are also filling the air and having the birds chirp away throughout the day is simply wonderful.

Deer are all lover too and in families normally. The children are always on the look out and so I am as I drive around and the thought of having one in the middle of the road does not appeal to me. But they are beautiful when grazing around town. Today's card is inspired by the deer but I got the sketch from Dostamper Stars challenge 175 and the image from the In the Meadows stamp set. Now, see how the are not over each other? A nice little trick. I save the paper backing of the stamps as I place the stickers on them. I used the paper backing to cover the images or sentiment before stamping something else right on top of the already stamped image. I normally trim the backing a bit so it the right size. Got love little tricks. The background is from the Typeset Specialty DSP, nice eh?

Thank you for visiting today. Share the love and take a moment to visit all the other ladies from Dostamper Stars for more inspiration. Be well

Easy and Simple.

Snow came and quickly went, thankfully and we were able to enjoy an Easter with some greenery, despite the rain. We were able to join a wonderful family for dinner and a wonderful time were had by all.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, pp, thank you, wildflower fields dsp, simply sketched, su

We are having some time off for Spring break and yesterday we decided to put some seeds in the garden. We put carrots, machê salad, and green beans. I will soon sow some collard greens and I am very happy to see my tomato plants growing happily indoors. Now, I played some in my craft room, and made a card for The Paper Players challenge 288. I used the Wildflower Field DSP, the sentiment from the Simply Sketched stamp set and a bit of Hello Honey ribbon to finish it off. I did change the direction of the sketch and I like it.I also like the fact that if you have some cardstock, a bit of DSP and a few stamp sets with sentiment, you can easily put together a simple card as this and make someone's day.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and please do come again soon. Be well

Turn point?

PPA-293-Mar24

I certainly hope so. We did get a bit of snow and it was beautiful.... it was even better to see it all quickly melt the next day. I hope this marks the official end of winter weather and that we will start enjoying warm weather.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stmapin up, demonstrator, ppa, thank you, sheer perfection designer vellum, subtles DSP, floral wings, lots of thanks, su

Look at the color challenge of the Pals Paper Players 293. They scream Spring and Easter and I love them. Of course a floral /  butterfly theme goes rather well with this color combo. I used the Floral Wings stamp set for the image and the retired Lots of Thanks for the sentiment. I like the designer vellum and this one is from the Sheer Perfection stack. I lined the back of it with Mint Macaroon and added Blushing Bride ribbon on top. The background is from the Subtles stack. The Pearls finish off the body of the butterfly and this card is sure to please the recipient.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope to see you again soon. Be well

Bride & Groom

http://dostamping.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f9444b9883301bb08ae1967970d-pi

It did get cold, but at least so far we did not see any snow. I heard other areas got some, but I am not jealous at all.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, wedding card, bridal shower card, pretty petals dsp, for the new two stamp set, heat embossing, curvy corner trio punch, su

I stayed cozy inside and prepared a card for Dostamper Stars Challenge 174. The colors can be perfect for a wedding / bridal shower card, so that's what I went for. The sentiment is from the For The New Two stamp set, and since it is large it was enough to be showcased by itself. The image was stamped in Watermelon Wonder and embossed with clear powder.  I used the Curvy Corner Trio Punch to add details to the bottom edges and a rhinestone to finish the looks. The Pretty Petals DSP stack gave the Mint Macaron background. I added texture to the Blushing Bride panel, but that TIEF is long retired. A bow was in order, of course, and it fit nicely on top of the panel.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you enjoyed this project and that it will inspire you to get your crafting going. Also, check the other Dostamper Stars for more inspiration on this challenge.

Clean Spring

We got several samples of Spring thus far, but we are supposed to get a winter storm today or tomorrow. I am hoping it just forget all about and dissipate, leaving us with some warmth and the hope of the final entrance of the Spring.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, pp, all occasions card, indescribable gift stamp set, heat embossing, su

I have some crocus on my front yard that were the first to show me some colors. Love them and hope to soon see all the colors. For now, let's color our world in paper, or better yet, vellum. That's what I did for The Paper Players challenge 287. Before I color the flowers, however, I stamped the image and heat embossed it, which made coloring it a breeze. The image from the retired Indescribable Gift stamp set and considering that this is a C&S challenge that is also a Spring theme, this image suffices.

I hope you enjoyed the card today and will come visit again. Be well

Miriam
