Thank you... for staying.

Hello everyone, I hope you had a wonderful Easter and Passover. We celebrated with my husband's family and were also able to catch some rest. On Sunday as I inspected my garden, I was greeted with 12 asparagus that will soon entertain our palate. I can hardly wait!

I had to prepare a card that was commissioned for a Bell choir member that does a lot for the choir. I was not sure what to do, but the sketch from DoStamper Stars 227 gave me the direction. The Floral Phrases had the perfect size to go around the whole card without overlapping the image. Mind you that this is a whole size card, meaning it is a 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock folded in half. I am happy this set is not retiring, as I love it and use it often. However, the ribbon used here is going to retire, so grab yours while they are still available. This is one of my favorite ribbons. The sentiment is form a favorite retired a while ago, called Perfectly Penned. I could not have chosen a more adequate set for this card. I heat embossed it in gold to match the ribbon.

Thank you for visiting today. Have a wonderful day. Be well

Miriam

Hello my dear friends and readers. This past week was a delight, a bit busy, but a delight. I got to spend time with some customers, held a Stamp-a-stack on Sunday and had a fabulous and super fun time. A super relaxed Sunday filled with fun, laughter and friends.

And Monday rolled in and the MM491 was calling my name. Well, I had a bit of free time and took advantage of it to get some craft going. I got some of my Flowerpot DSP (retired) and went on creating this card. I like the colors and how it turned out. The flower theme seems in order as I am hoping to start seeing them pop up here and there. I used the Flower Shop stamp set, Petite Flowers stamp set and punches, as well as the Thoughtful Branches for the sentiment. I know many people that deserves this card, so I may just as well get busy making few more and send them out. Brighten someone's day and send them a handmade card!

Thank you for your visit. Be well

Miriam

Glad to be back.

Dear Friends, hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving and enjoyed your family and friends. We took a trip to Pennsylvania and spend the week there with our friends. We had a wonderful and very memorable time. Now it is time to get things back on track and get ready for Christmas.

I am glad to be back and get some time in my craft room. I know that I have been away from it more than I want, and it feels great to make something to share with you all. Today I made a card from Dostamper Stars 208, which is a color inspiration. I did not want to make a Christmas card, instead I went for a Thank You card as I have plenty to be thankful for. The images are from Touches of Texture stamp set, which is so beautiful; sentiment I got from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set. Once I had the Cherry Cobbler flower stamped I inked it using the marvelous Wink of Stella and it gave the flowers a pop that the picture failed to capture. Have you tried the Wink of Stella yet? I highly recommend as it does make a difference in the card. The colors get brighter and the shine effect is so pretty. The dragonflies are adorned with some Rhinestone just because I love them!

Thank you for your visit today. I enjoy being back and hope to get more creations ready for you. Be well

Miriam

Appreciated.

Do these colors remind you of summer? They do for me. As I peruse in my garden and look at the plants happily growing, there are so many shades of all colors that washes my eyes with beauty. I love summer and all the glory it brings forth.

As you know, we were in an intensive violin summer camp all last week, and seeing all the teacher put so many hours teaching violin to such wide age group, makes me wonder how many of us really appreciate what they do. I decided to prepare some cards to send out to the teachers that taught us this past week. The Dostamper Stars 192 gave me a good color combo and I played with that for the cards. The new and fantastically beautiful Beautiful Branches got to get its first use in my craft room. I love it. The sentiment and image are all from the same set and the thinlit that is part of the bundle. I did apply texture to the back layer with the Lovely Lace TIEF, to add a bit of interest. Picture not always tells everything and in this case the very small pearls that I added to the flowers are not showing well. But in person added such a delicate detail. This card is being sent out along with a photo of the teacher with my child. It will be a lovely memento from the hectic week and I hope she will know that she is appreciated indeed.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you have enjoyed it and I hope you will take a moment to visit the other Dostamper Starts that participated in today's challenge. Be well.

Miriam

Thanks music.

Hello my dear Readers,

I am out of town this week at violin camp with my daughter and it has been a fantastic week. It is such a wonderful experience to see the small children playing such beautiful music. It does fill our hearts with hope for a better world with more tolerance and love.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stmapin up, demonstrator, dsc, thank you, falling flowers stamp set, touches of texture, gift of love stamp set, big shot, may flowers framelit, su

I did prepare a card and want to share it with you today for the Dostamper Stars 191. If you have not spent much time looking at the catalog and making your wish list, I urge you to do so. The new sets are absolutely gorgeous and very versatile. Look at the May Flower framelit and Falling Flowers stamp set. They are absolutely beautiful and paired up with the Touches of Textures, makes this card perfect. Now, for some step-by-step.

I did not want to cut the cardstock base, instead I created the semi-oval looks using the leaves from the Falling Flowers. Then, I stamped all the perimeter with the Touches of Texture stamp set. The flowers and bud were stamped and cut using the matching framelit. The sentiment is from the Gifts of Love stamp set, which I cut using the Triple Banner Punch. The top flower was adhered using dimensionals and Rhinestones were added to the center of the flowers for that special "bling" effect. Voilá.

There are more inspiration for this challenge and you can see them all by visiting the other Dostamper Stars. Thank you for your visit. I look forward to seeing you again. Be well

Miriam
