Home, sweet and new.

The constant motion of life brings so many surprises that makes us stop for a moment. A very close and dear friend of mine is relocating in December, and while I am extremely happy for her and her family, as this is a wonderful opportunity for them, I am sad to see them go and will miss them all deeply.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampi up, demonstrator, dsc, new home card, lovely as a tree, sheltering tree stamp set, holiday home bundle, big shot, su

I know I will be making some house warming cards, and got started with the inspiration from Dostamper Stars challenge 155. I decided to use the scenery as my inspiration and the Lovely as a Tree, Sheltering Tree, and Home for the Holidays stamp sets, along with the framelit made the scene. As much as I want to add a bit more embellishments, I decided against, so the images can speak for themselves. The background was sponged with Night of Navy because I did not want to use the card stock itself as I want to keep the sky a nice blue but not too dark.

Thank you for stopping by today and get further inspired by visiting the others Dostamper Stars:

A Jubilee celebration.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgesGk4MYXTTBVjsAeZVO_ohXiR-x8oxR0IgVZtWCkM5h7Di2hIiG1YVA4hk4XvHWou26e2Wz93byxRgCQALyPlgnKcnjvbhyyAhSyN-UjQylT8dGPcDSCVTctf_76e0Yw_PK70AwNJZLr2/s1600/Mojo421.gif

Celebrations vary so widely, that I doubt that I will every grow tired of hearing about them. Last week, I was approached to prepare a card for a Jubilee of a nun. She has been a nun for 75 years and I was told the story of her life. A celebration it will be indeed.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, jubilee card, brushed silver card stock, silver glimmer paper, flowering flourishes, heat embossing, heat tool, big shot, window frames collection, little numbers thinlits die, curvy corner trio punch, su

Since I was just introduced to Jubilee, I went on searching and found that it is platinum. I do not have a platinum paper or materials readily, but I saw that the Brushed Silver card stock was a good match. The sketch from Mojo Monday 421 worked well for what I had in mind, although I did change the sketch a bit. A bit of heat embossing was applied to the bottom portion of the card. I used the Flowering Flourishes stamp set. I aimed at keeping the card simple, but I also want some details. A bit of Glimmer paper in silver for the numbers and also for the layer behind the black circle added a bit of pizzazz without being too much. The corners were adorned with the Curvy Corner Punch and I honestly cannot see anyone not adding this punch to their collection. The ribbon and perfect bow completed the looks of this card. I can hardly wait to hear if the nun liked her card.

Thank you so much for visiting today. Be well

Miriam

More candles? Sure!

I have been so busy with a fundraiser that I feel like I have not posted anything for ages.... but in truth it has been since last Thursday. I am sorry I let you down, life sometimes do that. I am just happy that I was able to help out and that it is mostly all completed now.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, pp, birthday card, english garden dsp, butterfly basics stamp set, banner triple punch, su

I told you I was working on birthday cards, and the saga continues. The sketch today is from the Paper Players challenge 268, but I turned it sideways for fun. I went for the English Garden dsp, which is absolutely lovely. The sentiment is from the Butterfly Basics and this is a stamp set that is perfect to have as a part of you collection. I love the images and the sentiments. I considered other colors for the ribbon, but the Blushing Bride cotton ribbon was the one that stroke me most. The sentiment was cut in banner using the Triple Banner Punch, which makes creating a banner a snap. The bow was a must and as usual I made it with My Bow Maker. Perfection each and every time.

Thank you for visiting today. Be well

Congrats, dude.

I am not sure about your location, but around Wisconsin we are enjoying some beautiful and warm weather. The windows are open and the breeze feels so wonderful. I walk at leisure just so I can enjoy a bit of this wonderful weather.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, masculine card, congratulations, schoolhouse dsp, traveler stamp set, something to say stamp set, big shot, squares collection, su

I have also enjoyed some time in my craft room, which is always a bonus. I continue with my birthday cards projects, but today decided on a masculine card with an open theme. The sketch is from Dostamper Stars challenge 154, but I changed it a bit. A congratulations card can be used for so many things, that I like that for masculine cards. The image is from the Traveler stamp set and the sentiment is from the Something to Say stamp set. Remember that all stamps sets are 15% until the 23rd of October. The background paper is from the Schoolhouse dsp and I went double duty on the ribbon using a Pacific Point and the Linen Thread on top. I love the looks of it and will repeat that. How did you like that? I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you will visit again.

Thank you for stopping by and remember you can always get more inspiration from all the Dostamper stars. Be well

Miriam

Getting older.... but oh so good

PPA272

My stash is getting smaller with all the cards I have been making. I love that; but the truth is that I love going back to favorite products that got retired along the years. Today I dug the stash again.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, borthday basics dsp, su

I got the sketch from the Pals Paper Players challenge 272 and got busy making the card. All of the products used here are retired, and therefore I am not making a supplies list. The dsp I used here is the Birthday Basics, which had some great patterns. That ribbon is one of those that I deeply miss. It makes wonderful bows and it is great to work with, but that perfect bow can only be accomplished with My Bow Maker, which is my companion for all my bow needs.

Thank you so much for your visit today. Remember to take advantage of the Extra Stampin' Rewards going on now as well as the 15% off from all stamp sets. A promotion not to be missed.

Be well

More? Yes, plese.

I told you I am on the roll for birthday cards, and today I am showcasing yet another one. First, however, I must apologize for the picture being so yellow in tint. I am working on getting an ideal lighting for my light box, but so far it has been tricky to find the ideal. I am back to the white background - or yellow - as the black background did not do me too well. We shall see.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, pp, birthday card, bohemian dsp, bountiful border, teeny tiny wishes stamp set. big shot, curvy corner trio punch, su

Well then, despite the poor lighting, here is my card for today's post. I got inspired by the Paper Players challenge 266 and those colors go very well together. The Bountiful Border stamp set sufficed for all the images and Teeny Tiny Wishes gave me the sentiment. The background is from the Bohemian dsp and it almost gives a festive looks to the card, which ca very well be a Christmas time birthday. The large flower I stamped 3 times and fussy cut to give a bit more of a 3-D effect on the final flower. And did you notice that I place that flower on a small mat? I curved the edges of it using the Curvy Trio Punch.

Thank you for visiting today and please call again. Be well

Miriam

Lovely, indeed.

It is October, it is birthday month and it just happens that today a very good friend of mine celebrates her birthday, and the best part is that I get to share birthday with her as I am also celebrating another year.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, birthday card, awesomely artistic, sweet li'l things dsp, something to say stamp set, scallop trim border punch, su

I was not thinking of my birthday as I prepare the card for Dostamper Stars challenge 153, but I was thinking of my friend. She is rather lovely and a very kind person. I pulled out the Awesomely Artistic and with that stamp set alone I made this card. The background paper is the Sweet Lil' Things dsp and the sentiment is from Something to Say stamp set. The bow added the perfect touch to this card, and you can accomplish a bow so perfect as this one by using My Bow Maker. This is a card I have admired each time I held and I will continue to admire, even if only in a photo. Did you like it?

Thank you so much for visiting today. Remember to check out the others Dostamper stars for more ideas on this challenge. Be well

Another round.

Well, I am still working on birthday cards, but I also held a Christmas cards stamp-a-stack over the weekend at my home. I always have so much fun with the ladies and therefore I worked on some Christmas card too.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, birthday card, pretty petals dsp, butterfly basics stamp set, big shot, circle collections framelit, squares collection, su

I am back on the cards making and hope to get few more done this week. Today's card is my interpretation of the Mojo Monday challenge 419 and I thought a colorful card would be fun considering that the colors here are starting to show, but we know what will follow. I used the Pretty Petals paper stack and the sentiment is from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and I hope you will come back again. Be well

Round 3

Continuing with my birthday card frenzy, I have to say that it works rather well to work on a single theme. In addition to cards to post here for you all, I have made several others, and as I go back and look at them, I know that there will be many happy people receiving those cards in the near future.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, birthday card, everyday chic dsp, good greetings stamp set, large oval punch, scallop oval punch, su

For today's card, the inspiration is from Dostamper Stars challenge 152. Apron cards were popular not too long ago, but I did not want to make one, so instead I went with the similarity of patterns and colors. The Everyday Chic DSP is all but perfect for this job and I could choose none other. The sentiment is from Good Greetings stamp set, which was cut out with the large oval punch and layered onto the scallop oval punch. I love the simplicity of this card and is one of those that a little list of supplies go a long way.

We shall continue

The birthday cards season that is. I am on a frenzy and I made several cards, which will not be showcased all in my blog, but I may upload the pictures  my gallery.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, sssc, birthday card, modern medley dsp, perfectly penned, su

For today's card I used the SSSC 289 as a base sketch and pulled out all retired materials for the card. The paper is the ever so lovely Modern Medley DSP, the sentiment is from Perfectly Penned and I even add a bit of trim in Pistachio Pudding, a very lovely color, I must say. I cut both parts in angles, but I did not want the music part to be angled, so I made it straight, and then the center and top pieces angled up. I like to have the sentiment centered in the card, and when the sentiment is of a good size, it makes all better. A clear and happy message indeed.

Thank you for visiting today and please do come back again. Be well

Miriam

I am not ready.

PPA270

For the holiday season that is. I can hardly believe that there are some holiday decorations out for sale, and we have not yet reached Halloween. That is just wrong.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa, birthday card, summer silhouettes, teeny tiny wishes stamp set. big shot, banner triple punch, adorning accents, park lane dsp, holiday ornaments framelits, big shot, su

I will take my time to get to the Holidays and in the meantime I will be working on all sorts of cards, but I need Birthday cards, so you may be seeing lots of ideas for your birthday cards. Today, despite the weather, I pulled the Summer Silhouettes from the shelf and that was enough for the images. I liked the colors from the Pals Paper Arts challenge 270, the Summer Silhouettes was the perfect choice for it. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, which is a must have on your craft room. I made the vase using Holiday Ornament framelit and add a bit touch to top and bottom of the vase, which were cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelit. I used retired Park Lane DSP for the background and for the vase. A touch of Candy Dots and this card is ready.

Ok, your turn to get your supplies out and whip some cards. Enjoy your day and please stop by again. Be well

The moves continue.

Not really, except moving from September into October. Can you believe it? But I am on a new home card. I have moved so many times as a child and as an adult that being received in a new community brings a sense of belonging. Giving a proper farewell makes one feels love and solidify the friendships created along the way.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, new home card, happy notes, everyday chic dsp, elegant dots tief, big shot, lots of labels framelits, su

The sketch is from Dostamper Stars challenge 151. The new Happy Notes stamp set is absolutely lovely and look at that image. Everything even the fish bow is on the move. I add a bit of texture on the background with the Elegant Dots TIEF, the image was cut with the Lots of Labels framelits and the Everyday Chic dsp completed the elegant looks of this new home card.
