Garland... Spring garland.

Image may contain: text

Hello my dear friends and readers.

Unlike last week, we are enjoying a bit of a break from the brutally cold weather, and now I am really getting excited to get my seeds planted.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, all occasions card, awesomely artistic, elegant dots tief, big shot, su

Today's card does not showcase any products from the Occasions catalog, but the products featured are a favorite of mine. The Dostamper Stars 214 is on TIEF and I used here the Elegant Dots on only half of the front layer. The top layer was stamped with the Awesomely Artistic and adorned with this beautiful Watermelon Wonder ribbon. I have chosen no sentiment for this one and I noticed that I made several cards lately which does not have a sentiment. Good thing, as I have needed get well, sympathy, and birthday cards lately, and not having a sentiment sure gives me some flexibility. The bow is perfectly made and placed to give the card the final embellishment.

Thank you for visiting today. I look forward to seeing you again. Be well

Miriam

Spring the stash.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip5qWhJn-FERM9SaMzELidJWoR1P2tgtItCqX3sdBfR6ne8yh-YAH75T0-C2oIhH2HKiCJZO-RH89epmyld55tZD9oq4pHk9jkZIMh85qf8nHK_xYhl2YxAyMFKpeWZraHXx8VCXvL1dLL/s1600/mpjp479.gif

Well, what a round of crazy weather we had today. Woke up for a below freezing temperature, then it warmed up, rained, got super windy, and now are have icy roads. Not ideal driving conditions and I even missed a meeting on Tuesday night as I did not want to risk driving on a wet road with the temperatures dropping so quickly. We are supposed to get more rain, then snow, then a bit more warmth.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, birthday card, pretty petals dsp, elegant dots tief, big shot, su

With all that weather madness, the birds and me are ready for some warm weather for real and for spring. I am already planning my garden and hope to get some seeds started soon and hopefully we will have a very bountiful year. Of course, it all got me thinking colors and flowers and beauty. The sketch from the Mojo Monday 479 is simple and yet complex, and allowed me to incorporate flowers and colors. I got my stashes out and used the Pretty Petals DSP, and it is so Spring looking I could not pass on it. The back Very Vanilla layer was textured using Elegant Dots TIEF and the sentiment is form a long ago retired set. The Ribbon in Mint Maccaroon is soft and elegant and gives a nice double loop bow. Now, Spring is ready to spring. We are ready for you Spring!

Thank you for visiting today. Please do come again. Be well

Miriam

Gift of Love

Summer is really upon us, but it seems to be moving all too fast. Perhaps it is just because I am so busy. We have been enjoyed having many friends over and making great summer memories. That leaves little time to play in my craft room, and next week it will be impossible as I will be in violin camp with my daughter. It is a wonderful experience and she loves every moment of it.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, thank you, gift of love stamp set, elegant dots tief, big shot, labels collection, su

Today's card was made with lots of people in mind as I have many in my life that make us feel loved. They are special people that fill our lives and spread happiness whatever they go. The set used here is the Gift of Love stamp set. The Dostamper Start challenge 190 calls for any set that is exclusive for hostess and this jumped on me, so what can I say, I put it to use. The texture on the Garden Green is Elegant Dots TIEF and notice that I raised the front panel so the image is set back making a nice frame for the image and sentiment. The ribbon is in Flirty Flamingo and a perfect bow to go with that.

Hope you are enjoying your summer and finding time to let your creative juices flow too. There are more inspiration for this challenge and you can see them all by visiting the other Dostamper Stars. Thank you for your visit. I look forward to seeing you again. Be well

Wonder in the garden

Nothing like enjoying good health. Life is back to normal and we have the trims in our house being painted. We were very brave and went for a bold bright color. Give a bit of splash in the neighborhood.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demosntrator, dsc, all occasions card, farmer's market dsp, big shot, elegant dots tief, circle collections framelit, rose garden thinlits, su

For today's card, I did not go for the same bold colors as my house. Instead, as I looked at the sketch from Dostamper Stars 183, I decided that I want to use the Rose Wonder framelit nestled in the circle. I love how it turned out and how the rose is beautifully framed. The Mossy Meadow panel is embossed with Elegant Dots TIEF and the background is from the Farmers Market DSP. I like having some sort of neutral color, the Early Espresso works well with greens and yellows, so it was an easy choice. The beautiful ribbon add the touch and the Perfect Bow finished the looks.

Thank you for visiting today. Take a moment and get more inspiration from the Dostamper Stars. Be well

That's enough.

Well, I just could not believe that we got a bit of flurries on Saturday. it was cold, and windy. Overnight the temperatures dropped to 32F and that's what we woke to on Sunday. We are more than ready for consistent Spring weather. Enough of this cold weather.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstmapinwithyou, stampin up, demosntrator, cts, birthday card, flower pot dsp, number of years stamp set, big shot, elegant dots tief, filigree frame tief, heat embossing, su

The positive side of it is that I can spend time in my craft room and not feel bad for not enjoying some beautiful weather. my friend asked if I could make a card for her sister whom is turning 50. Of course I can. The sketch from the CTS 172. I used the Flower Pot DSP for the bit of color. I heat embossed the "50" from  Number of Years stamp set with the Calypso Coral Embossin' Powder. I added texture to the top and bottom of the front layer using both the Elegant Dots and the FIligree TIEF. I love the Filigree TIEF and felt sad to see it retire. The other favorite that is retiring is the Triple Corner Punch and was also used in this card. Since the card is rather clean I added a bit of detail with the beautiful Bermuda Bay stitched ribbon  and a perfect bow to finish it off. Simple, elegant, and ready for a party.

Thank you for visiting. Please do come back. be well.
