That's enough.

Well, I just could not believe that we got a bit of flurries on Saturday. it was cold, and windy. Overnight the temperatures dropped to 32F and that's what we woke to on Sunday. We are more than ready for consistent Spring weather. Enough of this cold weather.

The positive side of it is that I can spend time in my craft room and not feel bad for not enjoying some beautiful weather. my friend asked if I could make a card for her sister whom is turning 50. Of course I can. The sketch from the CTS 172. I used the Flower Pot DSP for the bit of color. I heat embossed the "50" from  Number of Years stamp set with the Calypso Coral Embossin' Powder. I added texture to the top and bottom of the front layer using both the Elegant Dots and the FIligree TIEF. I love the Filigree TIEF and felt sad to see it retire. The other favorite that is retiring is the Triple Corner Punch and was also used in this card. Since the card is rather clean I added a bit of detail with the beautiful Bermuda Bay stitched ribbon  and a perfect bow to finish it off. Simple, elegant, and ready for a party.

Birhtday Happy.

Perhaps Spring will now makes its final debut and this time will stay with us. I am so ready to really spend time outdoors without having a jacket or a hat on.

Perhaps some flowers will help? Ok, then let's do it. I prepared today's card for the Mojo Monday 446 and I must say that I love this sketch. I may prepare other cards using the same sketch. Anyway, for this one I used the Birthday Blossoms for the images, which I had to fussy cut - the leaves - and I also used the Petite Petals. The sentiment is from Number of Years stamp set. I used the Brick Wall TIEF to add texture to my panel and I loved the idea of stamping the sentiment on the wall. The bottom panel was cut with the Edgelits and add just a tad elegant detail to this classic looking card.

Happy Healing

I think I am back to the normal routine, and I am very happy about it. I like to have a good pace to my day and get things accomplished.

For those of you who know, my father-in-law is on the road to recovery. After being in the hospital for few days right on Christmas, he was transferred to the health care portion of the nursing home and is making progress. I have hear from few people that have dealt with family's health issues during the holidays and I want to make a get well card. I am using the Dostamper Stars challenge 163 as my sketch. For the background I got the Sale-a-bration Wildflower Fields dsp and had a hard time choosing which one to use as they are all beautiful. I want to have a small imagine, such as a bouquet, and the one that came to my rescue was the new Number of Years stamp set. I love to be able to stamp all those little flowers in different colors. The sentiment is from And Many more stamp set. A bit of pearls, and a bit of ribbon, and a perfect bow finish up this card.
