Happy... everything.


Do you get affected by the pollen in springtime? My poor husband does, and we know that when we lived in Alabama it was way worse, but it is still not fun.

I got better and he got a bit under the weather but it was his allergies. Couple days of resting with plenty of fluids helped him. I made this card thinking that I need to have more masculine cards at hand. The ketch from Mojo Monday 450 made easy for it. This one, I can use for many things: graduation, retirement, wedding, birthday. I find the sentiment neutral enough for any of the above. The paper is from the Going Places dsp and I combined that with a bit of texture from the Square Lattice TIEF. The sentiment is from the Chalk Talk stamp set and I like the boldness of the layer. A bit of chevron ribbon to tie up the colors and this card is perfect to have ready for any event.

It is getting closer now.



And in one more day my little girl will have reached the 2-digits age. She is excited and have been counting down the days for over a month. It is fun to watch her excitement with this milestone.

As I have said earlier this week, I am working on birthday cards this week. Here is another one and this one was inspired by the Dostamper Stars challenge 146. I did not want the color pallet or the back to school theme, just the butterflies and with the Pretty Petals dsp that was easily accomplished. The layers of Deco Labels was textured with Decorative Dots TIEF and stamped with Flowering Flourishes stamp set. I did use the new Curvy Corner punch to add that little opening for the ribbon and this is one very nice punch to add to your collection. The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set, which was then cut with the Chalk Talk framelits.

Thank you for caring.


Recently I had a friend offer me a help that I never thought I would need and she was so gracious about it all. We do not know each other for too long, but we became very close from the moment we met. It is a gift that we receive and sometimes I wonder if I am deserving of such fantastic people in my life.

While this card is very simple, I made with my heart feeling fully thankful and used the sketch from the Dostamper Stars challenge 133 to create it. The DSP here is from the Birthday Bash and the sentiment is from Lots of Thanks. I realize how much we receive every day in many ways, and how little I feel that I give. I am blessed beyond measure and I am truly thankful for my life. I thank you all for caring and for every single one of my readers, friends, customers, and supports. Thank you.

Happy Big Day.

Well, considering that my head is still stuck on a vice, I decided that it is time for this congestion to take a leave once and for all. A retirement card seems like the perfect order of the day.

The sketch from the Dostamper Stars Challenge 124 is my background for this card. I think it is a happy day when one finally retires, and still be able to enjoy lots of what life has to offer. The DSP selected is the Flashback, which seems appropriate to me. The image is from the Chalk Talk and the sentiment from And Many More. The bow adds the special touch and is easily knotted using My Bow Maker. I love making bows, single, double, you name it, my little device will make it. Blue happy! Simply Wonderful

Busy day yesterday with lots of errands to run and a recital of the advanced children form the violin school my children attend. It was a wonderful recital, as usual. However, I did find time to play with my new products.

Today I went with Pals Paper Arts challenge 231 and decide to keep the card very simple to showcase one stamp for the Simply Wonderful stamp set that you will be able to earn it for free during Sale-A-Bration. I use the Apothecary Accent framelit to cut the sentiment and the background for it too.

Grateful!


 
Happy Saturday everyone. This was a busy week and the weekend looks like is going the same way. We made a quick trip to IN to visit my husband's parents, but since we were all a bit congested we returned quickly. So, I had time to play a bit in my craft room and made a card to share with you today.

I truly became a lover of sketch challenges. This one is from the Freshly Made Sketch challenge 164. I kept it simple but want to have sparkles of colors all over. I did want to cut the sentiment from Let Your Hair Down stamp set, but because of my nasal congestion it was hard to do it. Instead I use the Apothecary Accent framelit which was a perfect fit and lined it with the Chalk Talk framelit. Had never used those framelits together before, I must say, I like the looks of it. Oh, the possibilities are endless!

Colorful wish

The colors of Fall this year are so intense and beautiful. There is a street near my home that its colors during this time of the year take my breath away.

The beautiful and contrasting colors gave me inspiration for the colors I chose today to play along with the Dostamper Stars Challenge 103. The Flower Pot and Park Lane DPS have beautiful colors and textures, making it very hard to pick one.  Then, the subtle yellow from the So Saffron made it all bright and crisp. The sentiment from the Perfect Pennants stamp set made this a very crisp Masculine Card. 

Tips & Tricks:
  • I use the Chalk Talk framelit for the sentiment. However, I did not want the black base to be so big. So, how I solved that? I cut the black shape twice. The first time on its normal size, then I shift the famelit up on the cut image and cut again, getting a smaller size of the same shape.
