YAY to you!



March is upon us and with that I will have several birthdays, so I better get busy making Birthday Cards, as I know I will need each one of them.

And how timely the Dostamper Stars challenge 170 was. How wonderful to get more inspiration for all those cards that I need to make it for next month. Today I used the fantastic Cup Cake Builder Punch, but I could not have that cute cupcake all alone in that ocean of Very Vanilla. The Labels Collection framelit came to rescue and the pop from Watermelon Wonder card stock made it stand out as it should. The Sweet Lil' Thing DSP was used for the side panel and for the top of the cup cake, while the base is from the Pretty Petals stack DSP. The balloons are from the Balloons Bash stamp set and they were stamped in Watermelon Wonder, Old Olive, Pool Party, and Hello Honey. The beautiful sentiment is from the Sky is the Limit, which I hope you were able to get it. It is such a pretty set. And a party cannot be complete without some decoration; the Decorative Dots TIEF took care of that. How wonderful! Yay to you on your birthday!

It is getting closer now.



And in one more day my little girl will have reached the 2-digits age. She is excited and have been counting down the days for over a month. It is fun to watch her excitement with this milestone.

As I have said earlier this week, I am working on birthday cards this week. Here is another one and this one was inspired by the Dostamper Stars challenge 146. I did not want the color pallet or the back to school theme, just the butterflies and with the Pretty Petals dsp that was easily accomplished. The layers of Deco Labels was textured with Decorative Dots TIEF and stamped with Flowering Flourishes stamp set. I did use the new Curvy Corner punch to add that little opening for the ribbon and this is one very nice punch to add to your collection. The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set, which was then cut with the Chalk Talk framelits.

The end of an era.


Indeed, today it marks the end of the Stampin' Up! MDS program. I am so sorry to see it go, but I can understand it and I will continue to use it as I have learned to love it. Today is also the end of my Subaru era. As you know I have suffered an accident over the Memorial Day weekend and my car was deemed totaled. It was a wonderful car and I felt very bad to see it end that way. There was still a lot of life in that car. Sigh.

But, let's us mark the new month with reasons to celebrate, shall we? The new catalog will roll in in just couple of days and I am excited about it. There are plenty to choose from and I am looking forward to get my hands on lots of new products. As for today's card I used stashed away DSP and the Big Day stamp set for sentiment. A simple and straight forward card inspired on the sketch from the Fusion Wedding Bells challenge.No wedding bells on today's card, but for the birthday to happen, a wedding is necessary or ideal.

It is color time! Yet again

I am on the coloring mode and the new Indescribable Gift stamp set is so beautiful and perfect for coloring. I add a bit of Sweet Sadie Washi Tape on the side and the looks was complete.

2015 Catalog Transition 

As the end of the year approaches, many of you have been asking questions about the new catalog. So, here is a quick reference to help you.

  • 2015 Occasions Catalog: Starts January 6 - ends June 2
  • 2015 Sale-a-Bration Brochure: Starts January 6 - ends March 31
If you're an active customer with me, your Occasions Catalog and SAB Brochure should be arriving in your mailbox soon (some have already arrived).  Let me just say..."You won't be disappointed!"

It is the end!


 

You do not need to panic. The end that I refer to, is the online extravaganza from Stampin' Up! Did you get some goodies? The sale was incredible and I hope everyone found something. The beautiful sentiment is from the Let your Hair Down hostess stamp set. A touch of ribbon was in order to complete the looks. You can also get perfect looking ribbon every time when using My Bow Maker. I am sure you will love it!

What do you see? A little glimpse of the Holiday Catalog!

I hope you did get inspired by last week's wedding theme. This week I will not work on a particular theme - although I loved it - but fret not, I may do that again in the future. However, I plan to feature some new products from the Holiday Catalog. The Letterpress Winter stamp set is a hit and I am sure I will be using it a lot.
To start the week I decided to use the sketch from the Pals Paper Arts challenge 216  and make an all occasion card.

The color pallet from the Confetti Celebration DSP is so pleasing to the eyes and not hard to put together. Perhaps combining colors is a daunting task for you. It is for me too at times. One thing that has helped me a lot along the way is to look at the DSP collections. They are ideal to give me combinations that I may not otherwise have tried.

Congratulations to a new baby!

New babies are always the beginning of new hopes, new emotions, new perspectives for me. As a friend of mine takes off on this new journey I wish her the very best with her soon to arrive baby. She will be a wonderful mother and just right for her baby. There will be a baby shower and a card is needed for that. I put this one together with much happiness in my heart and can hardly wait to give it to her!

 

I did try my hand at the new Blendabilities and I love it. I just add a bit of color to the leaves, but it goes on so well and smooth that I will be playing more with those very soon!

Tips and Tricks:
  • In order to use the new Blendabilities make sure to first stamp the image using the Memento ink. You can than add any color from the Blendabilities collections. 
  • That perfect little bow? Well, that was done using my bow maker.
