Celebrate.

I am so glad my husband is back from his business trip. We miss him so much and since my little son had his birthday on Monday, it was nice to have the whole family together.

I prepare this card today for the Mojo Monday 487 and thought about all those times when we all have to endure some time alone and we all brave through it with happiness in our hearts. I am celebrating myself, my children, and my husband. I used some elements that bring comfort to me. I love butterflies, so the Butterflies Thinlits got to work. Colors, flowers, and leaves are all things that also bring comfort and warmth. The Lovely Lace TIEF served well for the background, Birthday Blossoms stamp set gave the sentiments and leaves, and the colors Tangelo Twist - sadly retired - Cucumber crush and a pop of Basic Black did the trick. Love the results and will certainly share this card with someone else to keep the celebration going.

Weddings, continued.

The saga continues. I must say, however, that I like to work on a theme for a few days. The ideas get flowing and at the end I like to see the possibilities around one theme. Wedding cards tend to be too standard and I prefer to see it as unique as the people.

Today's card is inspired in the PP301 and I kept it as simple as the sketch. I love the elegance and straight forwardness of it, and honestly I can see it being used for a Bridal Shower too. The background is Timeless Elegance DSP, with the Watermelon Wonder Ribbon on front. The simple and elegant sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases stamp set and as much as I want to add more to it, I decided to stop and let the simplicity speak louder. Love the result.

Oh yeah, must have that first.

Well, I have been on the Birthday Cards frenzy and then it dawn on me that to celebrate any birthday there first must be a baby. Why not a baby card then?

And that's precisely what I did with the Mojo Monday challenge 437. I used the Sweet Lil' Thing DSP for the background, and was not sure what to use for the square, and upon digging my piles I found the lovely Best Year Ever DSP and it is a perfect match. As for the image and sentiment I used the also retired Sweetest Gift stamp set. The ribbon was one of the freebies from last year Sale-a-Bration and since we are under Sale-A-Bration, why not use some of the past products.

Better half.

We all have ours better half, and why not celebrate them? It is easy to forget the small and little things that makes the loved one such a special part of our lives.

I have been looking and thinking on making a card using the sentiment from the First Sight stamp set. I decide to play along with the CCMC 389 and when I started getting the supplies - mainly the English Garden DSP - I was thinking of images and also sentiment. I got he Butterfly Basics stamp set, as I want to use the fern image, and the "kindred spirits" sentiment felt perfect. A masculine hand-made card perfect for an Anniversary or Valentine's Day, don't you think? I thought about 2 birds, but it would be too big, and I did not wish for that. Instead I stamped and punched 2 butterflies, folded them in half and put them together in a lovely kiss. Love!

I am trying to keep my days at a good pace, however, it seems to be going a bit faster than me. I had a busy weekend and am trying to keep up with my e-mails and messages. Sorry if I did not get back to you. But...

... I am thinking of you and prepared this card to show you so. The sketch for today's card is from the Pals Paper Arts challenge 282. The dsp today is from the Pretty Petals dsp stack. I love those two pattern together. Considering that the sketch was simple, I kept the card so too. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Petals and the image is from the World of Dreams stamp set, which I stmapde just on teh edges. I love the final result.
