Celebrate.

I am so glad my husband is back from his business trip. We miss him so much and since my little son had his birthday on Monday, it was nice to have the whole family together.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, all occasions card, birthday blossoms stamp set, big shot, circles framelit collection, layering circles, butterflies thinlits die, lovely lace tief, su

I prepare this card today for the Mojo Monday 487 and thought about all those times when we all have to endure some time alone and we all brave through it with happiness in our hearts. I am celebrating myself, my children, and my husband. I used some elements that bring comfort to me. I love butterflies, so the Butterflies Thinlits got to work. Colors, flowers, and leaves are all things that also bring comfort and warmth. The Lovely Lace TIEF served well for the background, Birthday Blossoms stamp set gave the sentiments and leaves, and the colors Tangelo Twist - sadly retired - Cucumber crush and a pop of Basic Black did the trick. Love the results and will certainly share this card with someone else to keep the celebration going.

Thank you for visiting today. Be well

Miriam

Box it up

Hello my dear readers and friends. Today I am sharing with you something I made recently to present as a gift. People do appreciate handmade cards, well not everyone, but the ones that do make my heart happy. I will gift greeting cards to certain people and I have tried several styles of packaging and arrived at one that I truly like it.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, gift box, lullaby dsp, butterfly basics stamp set, butterflies thinlits die, su

Isn't it ever so pretty? Well, I think it is even better in person and when loaded with beautiful hand made cards. This box was not that hard to put together. It took a bit measuring and adjusting to get to the perfect size for A2 cards. For the cover I use Lullaby dsp and then created a panel using the Butterfly Basics for the images. I was going to use the bigger Butterfly Thinlit die, but the recipient would probably not care much for the big butterfly and besides it would be a bit too big for the size of the box. Nos, I am putting together a tutorial for this box to share with you. Come back on Friday and I will have it just for you. I know you will enjoy making it and it will make someone really happy.

Thank you for your visit and I look forward to seeing you again. Be well

Miriam

Please don't go!

I beg you to stay.. But, go they will. I grew accustomed to several of the product that are retiring this year. I do not like to see them go, but new product will take their places and we will continue to create beautiful works of art.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, thank you, flashback dsp, papillon potpourri, itty bitty banners, bitty butterfly, big shot, bitty banners, butterflies thinlits die, su

Without further ado, and with the Dostamper Stars challenge 131, let's look back at couple product that will be officially retired as of June 2nd. The Itty Banners stamp set along with its framelits are going to take its leave and so will the beautiful Flashback DSP. I did have to prepare a Thank you card for those two, as they were part of many projects and have been well loved around here. Now, I bid you two farewell and you will not be forgotten.

Inspiration continues! Visit these other fine Dostamper Stars ladies to see their take on today's challenge:

Color my world, butterfly!

DSC#120-Color

I did not hear the birds this week yet due to the brutally cold weather that made our way again. Oh well.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, all occasions card, something borrowed DSP, big shot, butterflies thinlits die, su

Since the birds are nowhere to be heard and the butterflies nowhere to be seen, I decided to have my own butterflies color my world. Nothing like the wonderful combination of the Dostamper Stars Challenge 120 and the new Butterflies Thinlits Dies to get that accomplished. I wanted a muted background, so I reached for the Something Borrowed Specialty DSP. Those butterflies are simply gorgeous and I want to fly away in their wings.
Thank you for visiting today. I truly enjoy seeing you here. Take care.

Fly, bella, fly!

Let's close the week with a bit more of Spring calling. The butterflies are begging to return, the flowers are ready to bloom and fill our surroundings with colors, and we are ready to open the windows and let in some fresh air!

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, thinking of you, fusion heartful, moon lake stamp set, beach house washi tape, big shot, butterflies thinlits die, banner punch, su

Yes, I am ready for Spring and somewhat ready for Valentine's day. I enjoy Valentine's and will have something special, but for now my need for Spring is really, really, much greater. As you can see I only use the sketch part of the Fusion Heartful challenge, and the new Butterflies Thinlits die made a perfect center piece for my card. The sentiment is from the Moon Lake stamp set and if I am thinking of someone I want to think them good and happy thoughts and I believe this card fits the bill, don't you?

A Festive Thank You.

I spent my afternoon with a dear friend and her children today. We had lunch together, wrapped gifts, chatted away, and I even went home with dinner. I enjoy her a lot and truly appreciate her friendship.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm 377, brushed silver card stock, lots of thanks, big shot, butterflies thinlits die, apothecary accents framelit, deco labels collections, perfect polka dot, burlap ribbon, su

Then, I got home and was commissioned to prepare a Thank you card. The lady whom order the card is my daughter's violin instructor's mother and she told me the story behind the recipient of the card. I certainly got plenty inspiration today, then I saw the Mojo Monday challenge 377 and the card just blossomed in my mind.

I am totally loving the new Butterflies Thinlits Dies and you will love it too. The intricate details can be tricky to work with, but stay tuned for a tutorial that I am putting together to help you with those details. You will love it all even more.

A Sneak Peek

Seasons Greetings!

Yay! The box was open, the supplies were all checked, all put in its place, and are now all ready to be put into work. So, with no further ado, I want to share my first run on the new Occasions catalog 2015.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demosntrator, sneak peek, butterflies thinlits die, butterfly basics stamp set, birthday bash dsp, lovely lace tief, texture boutique machine, su

I love Butterflies and how can one resist this beautiful Butterflies Thinlits Die? The minute I saw it, I was totally sold into it and was the first item in my pre-order. The Butterfly Basics stamp set is also fantastic and lent the sentiment for today's card. The DSP you see is the new Birthday Bash Specialty DSP and it is lovely! I hope today's project is going to get you inspired and just as excited about the new Occasions catalog.
