Springing?

The snow is almost completely melted, the birds can be heard a bit louder, the grass is showing a bit more greenery, but the weather man says a cold front is coming our way. I sure hope he is wrong, but I fear he may not be all that wrong.

In any event, considering the early arrival of Spring - or so I hope - the CCMC 392 has an adequate color combo for those of us waiting for the flowers to sprung up and bring extra happiness to us all. Because of all this, I picked up the Best of Flowers stamp set for the images and the Simply Sketched stamp set for the sentiment. The dsp used here are the wonderful DSP Stack in Subtle and Neutral. The banner was cut using the Banner framelit and I add Candy dots to the corner just for an extra touch.

Dig that stash, yet again.

Wow, after a hard, busy, and long week, it ended in a big and high note. Literally. My daughter was in a violin workshop Friday and Saturday. We both were elated by the whole experience, despite her being with such a nasty cough.

Memories we created and will cherish them for a long time. The workshop and summer institutes are exhausting, but so enriching in many ways.  Today's card gives me the opportunity to solidify new memories and also revisit old ones. The beautiful sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 257 and its simplicity makes for an easy ride. So, please take a moment to call back some memories and I hope each memory will bring a bright smile to your face.

Memories....

As I prepare this post, I listen to a song that reminds me of a time long gone, that left in me moments to cherish forever.

Good times, good memories, good friends, is all what we all are left with. Those things are what gives meaning to life and it is wonderful to think of them, laugh, cry, and rejoice with each memory. Today's card is an entry for the Retroscketches challenge 150, and I decided for a Sympathy card.  I used some retired products to keep with the theme of something gone, but not forgotten. The stamp is from the Best of Flowers, the paper is Pocketfull of Posies. The little butterflies is from the new Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set, and the sentiment is from Love & Sympathy stamp set.
I hope your heart is full of sweet memories, wonderful friends, and great moments to cherish forever. Enjoy the nostalgic feeling they bring!

Clean and simple

 

I am the type of person that have moved so many times in my life, I became minimalist. Well, almost... when it comes to my crafting tools, then it is another story. But I like no clutter and I am not found of items that do not have a practical side.

Today's card is just a minimalist, clean, and simple card. The Pleasant Poppies background stamped on red is so subtle, yet so beautiful. The sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 247 was an easy one to keep my card clean. I changed the shape as I want something a bit more elaborate. The stamp set I used on the Label collection die cut is from the Best of Flowers that was released last year, but no longer available. The sentiment is also from a retired set, but I love the flow of the letter and could not resist. And, of course the perfect little bow that I made using My Bow Maker and you can also have yours!

I incorporated several features of the theme photo by using Best of Flowers stamp set, Thinlits, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, and I like the final looks of it. How about you, do you like it? Dostamper Stars Challenges #063 - Best of Flowers

Pals Paper Art #182 & Unscripted Sketches #233

Challenges are so much fun! Today I am entering my card in the Pals Paper Art Challenge #182, which is a color challenge and also on Unscripted Sketches #233. This was a fun and very easy card to put together. I used the Just Thinking stamp and also Best of Flower stamp set. A bit of ribbon, candy dot and a new card is born!
