Fusion Red White & Blue - Simple Stems

I have to say that I like the Fusion challenges as they give me all the elements to get the juices going. Most of the times I use both the sketch and the colors/inspiration and today is not different. I set the background using the Simple Stems stamp set. The bunch of flowers almost resembles fireworks, don't you think? The sentiment is from Something to say, which lately has a lot to say around here. I made this a retirement card, as this is one theme that I do not do too often. So to all of you out there that may be looking into retiring soon, here is a card just for you!

Now you can go change the world or at least go and have lots of fun!

PPA 198, US 251 - Simple Stems

Greetings,

PPA198 April 3Sketch251

I have been busy lately with my mother as she is visiting from Brazil. However she enjoys spending time hanging out around my craft area while I am working on some cards or classes. Today I took the time to work on a card for the Pals Paper Arts and Unscripted Sketches challenges. I took out my Simple Stems stamp set and decided on a more mute card. What do you think? Thank you for stopping by and please come back again.

Happy Stamping,

Miriam Castanho Bollinger

Both stamp sets are from the 2014 Occasion catalog. A tutorial video is available for you to create along. Please do not shy away from dropping any question you may have and also take a moment to leave me a note. I hope you enjoy today's project. Thank you for visiting today and do come back soon.

Happy Stamping!

February 10, 2014

Greetings!

I am so glad that Dawn Olchefske has invited me to be a Guest Star this month and that I can showcase the newly released Simple Stems stamp set as it rises my hopes of Spring arriving soon. I prepared this card for my club ladies and they are loved it. I add a bit of texture using the new Arrows TIEF, which can also be found on the 2014 Occasions Catalog. I simply could not stop at 2 items from the new catalog, then I reached for the new Banner Bundle for the sentiment. Did you notice that the Simple Stems flower was cut using the Secret Garden Framelit? Indeed! So, if you already have the Secret Garden framelit, the Simple Stems is the perfect addition to your collection. Make sure to stop by my store at any time to order yours!

I had the honor to be invited to a gueststar of Dawn Olchefske for the month of February. I am still at awe for receiving such an invitation. Today's project is the first one I am sharing and there will be 3 more to follow. Whenever a new catalog comes out it is always hard to decide what to get first, as I love everything. The video tutorial is below and you will see how easy it was to put this card together. Stop by my store, grab your punch and give it a try. You will love it.
