I do not wish to talk about the weather anymore, but I must say today was a much milder winter day. Oh, how wonderful it is.

Coming from overseas, there is little celebrations that I have done in the past few years in which my family were present. I do not remember the last time I celebrated Mother's day with my mom, for one. That does not mean that I do not think about my mom and always wish her a wonderful mother's day. A proper card is always in order too and today's card is in honor of all the mothers out there that work s hard in everything they do. The Dostamper Stars challenge 165 is the color scheme for the card. The sentiment from the First Sight stamp set is perfect and paired up nicely with the image and the Rose from the Rose Garden framelit. I think a smile will flourish when this card is opened, don't you?

Hi mom!

We knew these beautiful colors were going to wave good bye, but it is hard to see them go as they are such a pretty bunch. I have stocked up and plan on continue to use them for some time.

Every year when the Retiring list comes out, I revisit some old favorites. This time I picked up the Delightful Dozen for the sentiment and the Scalloped Dotted Border punch. Those are favorites of mine and I am having a hard time parting with them. Another one taking leave is the I Like You hostess set, but look at that potential! For a bit of texture, how about the lovely Spring Flowers TIEF? A mother deserves all that and much more. What has inspired you?

Well, inspirations come from all sorts of place. I am always find things that can be made into a card. This past week my son was having a bit of a runny nose, so a new box of tissue was opened and upon looking at the box, I found the inspirations for today's card.

I know, weird, right? But not really. The colors went well together and it was so nice and subtle that I was not able to resist. I found an inspiration also at the Splitcoast Stampers challenge TLC521 which call for the use of Positive and Negative image. Then, using my Flower Shop, And Many More, Beautiful Bunch, and Creative Elements stamp sets I got busy stamping the images in either Smoky Slate of Tempting Turquoise. I punch out one flower from the corner and placed it in the opposite corner. The sentiment was placed on the negative of the Word Punch. Simple, yet an elegant and clean card. How about you? Do you find yourself looking around in strange places for inspiration? Please share them with me.
