Oh, the sight and idea of a summer night seems so far away! It has been a long, brutal, and difficult winter. I have decided that I broke up with winter, but it keeps on coming back! However, DoStamper challenge this week gave me the chance to think of a summer night. The colors are beautiful and it was easy to add the stamp set Happy Day to go with the project. DD 91 & US 245 - Backyard Basics

The world of challenges out there sure enriches us. Today I am entering my card at two wonderful challenges: Dynamic Duos and Unscripted Sketches. This card was simple to put together. For the Wild Wasabi layer I used the new Hardwood background stamp, which I totally love it. Wine Bottle Tag - RetroSketch 103

Giving a bottle of wine can be difficult on itself, then you have to find an ideal packaging. Well, how about a wine bottle tag? I love the idea of dressing up a bottle of wine without wrapping it up. So, today's project will give you plenty of ideas for future gift giving. Sweet Sunday 207 & Dynamic Duo 90 - Label Love

This has been a crazy week. First it was cold - nothing new there - then we got two whole days of above normal temperatures and I was even able to go without socks for a whole day since I do not remember when, then today we got cold again, snow, sleet, then rain! The weather here is completely unreliable! Anyway, The Sweet Sunday challenge is reliable and came out and as usual I was not able to resist it. Dostamper Stars 070 - Label Love

The minute I saw the sketch I thought wheels, and got spinning around! I used the Betsy's Blossoms wheel to create the pattern of the sketch and use 3 tones of purple. Window Cut out card - Simple Stems & Top Note die cut

As you may know, I was invited by Dawn Olchefske to be a guest star artist for the month of February. Well, this is the third project I prepared and today I am sharing it with you. I decided to use the Top Note diet cut and combine that with the Simple Stems stamp set to create a window card. I used the sentiment from My Mother stamp set. Both stamp sets are from the 2014 Occasion catalog. A tutorial video is available for you to create along. Fusion 4 - Happy Day

I do not remember ever watching this much of Winter Olympics, but this year I watched a lot of the competitions and I am enjoying a lot of them. It is hard to see some dreams get shattered in the last minute, but I hope new dreams will be built for those athletes. Today I decided to go a bit silver with the new challenge from Fusion. Pals Paper Art 191 - Peaceful Petals

There are always so much we want to say in a card and the Chalk Talk gets the job done! The heat embossing is one of my favorite techniques as it adds a beautiful effect to any card. Mojo Monday 332 & The Paper Players 182 - Perfect Pennants

Greetings,

This winter has been relentless and the only thing that helps is entering challenges. Thankfully enough, Mojo Monday and The Paper Players were there to lend a hand to me! I went into my garden - the creative garden that is - and pulled out Perfect Pennants, Chalk Talk Famelits, Banner Framelits, and some washi tape to come up with today's cards. Did you notice the edges of the Sweet Sorbet paper? That scallop edge was made using the Rotary Addition to the Paper Trimmer and the Small Scallop Rotary Blade.
