Love. Love.

What can we do without Love? We love our partner, our children, our parents, our friends, our pets, and the list goes on. I See the power of love as I care for my child that has been very ill this week. As I look into his eyes and cannot find the usual spark and those pretty dancing eyes, it pains me in a way that only a mother knows.

I made a card with my heart filled with love. The mother love, the wife love, the friend love. Just love. The card is for the Mojo Monday Challenge 439 and I want it simple and delicate, yet with some boldness. The image is from the new In The Meadow stamp set. This set is so beautiful and delicate. The sentiment is form First Sight. Now, I did cover the "I believe in" part of the stamp, as I just wanted the bottom part of it. How did I do it? Well, I simply cover it with a piece of tape, inked the stamp, removed the tape and stamped it on the card stock. Clean and Simple. The Watermelon Wonder ribbon is bold, but not aggressive. I decided it would be the perfect touch of boldness for today's card.

Thank you for visiting today. If you have a moment say a prayer to my little one. Be well

Miriam

SSSC 225 - Six-sided Sampler

We went for a wild ride last night when storms hit us so hard that it was hurricane like. We lost internet and cable connection and I was not able to get my posts ready. Some of our neighbors are still without power. I hope people did not get hurt and all is well.
The Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge had another cute sketch and I went with the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set for today's card.

Tips and Tricks:
  • To get the Always Artichoke punched at even spaces, I punched the image 3 times out of regular office paper and with a bit of adhesive placed them on the rectangular piece. I then punch each piece out of the Always Artichoke layer using the white images as a guide. Perfect placing!
  • The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Whisper White and the edges were cut with the 1/2" circle punch.
  • I adhered the sentiment to the Always Artichoke piece before adhering it to the card.

Window Cut out card - Simple Stems & Top Note die cut

February 17, 2014.

Greetings,

As you may know, I was invited by Dawn Olchefske to be a guest star artist for the month of February. Well, this is the third project I prepared and today I am sharing it with you. I decided to use the Top Note diet cut and combine that with the Simple Stems stamp set to create a window card. I used the sentiment from My Mother stamp set. Both stamp sets are from the 2014 Occasion catalog. A tutorial video is available for you to create along. Please do not shy away from dropping any question you may have and also take a moment to leave me a note. I hope you enjoy today's project. Thank you for visiting today and do come back soon.

Happy Stamping!

Miriam Castanho Bollinger

I used the negative if the Top Note die cut for the outside of the card and....

... the positive for the inside.
