Cozy, cozy.

Brrrr. It has been too cold to even go out; which in a way is perfect so I get to spend time in my craft room and also getting some purging done. Other than the children regular activities, I choose to stay indoors as the cold does not do me well and the wind has been too unfriendly for me.

Of course we need some warmth, even if only in my wishful thinking. Valentines come to mind when thinking of warmth, coziness, and togetherness. The inspiration from Dostamper Stars 213 got me jump started on Valentines ideas and I pulled out one of my favorites framelits and stamp sets, the Bloomon' Hearts. This time I cut the flowers in Pink Pirouette after stamping them in Real Red. The little "branch" when the birds sit was cut from the new Oh So Succulent framelits and the sentiment is from its matching stamp set The birds from the Thoughtful Branches bundle and add a nice touch of coziness to this card.

Friends. Best thing ever.

Friends came in some many shades of colors that add so much to our lives. I have some dear friends, like all of you, that means so much to me. Then there are those that no matter what will forever be a friend. And then there are many of you that have married your best friend, and that is even better. To develop a life long relationship is an balancing act. And only when we can fully accept the other we will form a true and forever friendship.

I made this card today more leaning towards an anniversary / wedding card. I think it is a perfect card for that occasion, but I can see it myself giving it to a best friend. The sketch is from the PPA 314 and it was a fantastic inspiration for me. I used the new Falling Flowers for the image, which was stamped twice in opposite sides. The center panel covered part of the stamp rather well and I made sure to do my best to center the image. The sentiment is from the First Sight stamp set, and it was cut using the Lots of Labels framelits. I used a strip of paper to stamp, and then centered it on the framelit obtaining  a rounded edge. I add a bit of the Tip Top Taupe ribbon because it is just too beautiful and kept to the color scheme of the card. A striking card with very little supplies and that can be put together in little time.

Gorgeous.



I am not catching any break around here. But I am surrounded by wonderful friends and family and that on itself is a wonderful break. We all need to have that good bunch of people around to cheer us up, keep us busy, and stand with us no matte what.

A small break and I had the opportunity to make a card for Dostamperstars 186. Have you seen the new In Colors? They are superb! Today I am using the Peekaboo Peach for the cardstock, which was cut with the Detailed Floral Thinlits. How can one say no to this Thinlit? It is a work of art all in itself and makes any card stand out from ordinary. Instant effect. Gorgeous. The ribbon is the new 3/8" Ruched Ribbon in Dapper Denim. It makes a beautiful bow, and that for me gets the immediate seal of approval.

Love. Love.



What can we do without Love? We love our partner, our children, our parents, our friends, our pets, and the list goes on. I See the power of love as I care for my child that has been very ill this week. As I look into his eyes and cannot find the usual spark and those pretty dancing eyes, it pains me in a way that only a mother knows.

I made a card with my heart filled with love. The mother love, the wife love, the friend love. Just love. The card is for the Mojo Monday Challenge 439 and I want it simple and delicate, yet with some boldness. The image is from the new In The Meadow stamp set. This set is so beautiful and delicate. The sentiment is form First Sight. Now, I did cover the "I believe in" part of the stamp, as I just wanted the bottom part of it. How did I do it? Well, I simply cover it with a piece of tape, inked the stamp, removed the tape and stamped it on the card stock. Clean and Simple. The Watermelon Wonder ribbon is bold, but not aggressive. I decided it would be the perfect touch of boldness for today's card.

It's a whole lot!




I told you all that this past week was going to be hard for me to get any post for you. I did not lie. However, I got everything done and all is well. Except that on Sunday evening my whole house got food poisoning and our evening was not fun. Monday I spend my day napping and doing all the laundry from the night before. Tuesday was time to try and catch up, and just now I can breath a bit, although my little boy is still working on his full recovery. Life.

Nonetheless, I was able to prepare a card for the Dostamper Stars challenge 173, with has a lot to inspire. I use an old Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Smarty Pants, but I also like the floral from the inspiration, which I got from the Pretty Petals DSP stack. I added a touch of Old Olive ribbon to break a bit of the Basic Black and to add a bit more of interest. The Candy Dots at the corner closes it all well. This is a nice card for an Anniversary celebration, don't you think?
