Brigh Spring... Where are you?

Dear Friends & Readers,

Easter was just a delight in our home with friends who came from PA to spend the week with us. We all gathered lovely memories from this time. Hope your Easter was lovely too.

We got a bit sick, however. Not sure what was it. Congestion, sinus infection, not the flu, but just a respiratory ordeal that did not stop our fun at all. We are all anxiously waiting for Spring to arrive once and for all, but instead we woke up to white covered ground. Not the wake up call I was interested in.

Then, we can add color to our surrounding by crafting. DoStamper Stars 276 proposes a bold combination and it is just what I need. So tired of white and gray. Anyway, the images on this card are from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set. I love how we can stamp the back and cut the detail in the sale color and just turns out lovely no matter the color you choose. The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics. Of course, rhinestone must be added, so we know it is a bright and sparkly birthday.

Orchid Elegance

Dear Friends and Readers,

My, oh, my, this has been a very busy month so far and our kitchen is now reaching the point of getting put back together again. We made a lot of progress quickly and now the cabinets are getting lined up to be installed and then we have counter tops. We can see the end of the tunnel and I must say I am excited about it all.

Despite all that, I have been getting some time in my craft room as I need it. Funny that it seems to help, maybe perhaps because I am creating a lot of vision in my mind. Look at the card I made today.

The beautiful Climbing Orchid is the one I chose today again. It is such a beautiful set and the matching framelits sure makes it all even better. I use the framelits from the Oh So Succulent for the greens hanging out of the vase, and for the background I used the Layered Leaves DTIEF and that gave a nice touch. I love the looks of it and I decided not to add a sentiment so it would not be a distraction for the bouquet itself. Beautiful and elegant.

Cozy, cozy.

Brrrr. It has been too cold to even go out; which in a way is perfect so I get to spend time in my craft room and also getting some purging done. Other than the children regular activities, I choose to stay indoors as the cold does not do me well and the wind has been too unfriendly for me.

Of course we need some warmth, even if only in my wishful thinking. Valentines come to mind when thinking of warmth, coziness, and togetherness. The inspiration from Dostamper Stars 213 got me jump started on Valentines ideas and I pulled out one of my favorites framelits and stamp sets, the Bloomon' Hearts. This time I cut the flowers in Pink Pirouette after stamping them in Real Red. The little "branch" when the birds sit was cut from the new Oh So Succulent framelits and the sentiment is from its matching stamp set The birds from the Thoughtful Branches bundle and add a nice touch of coziness to this card.

Succulent New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!

A busy and wonderful holiday season it was. I am back on the swing of things and I am getting more excited about the new year, new catalog, new opportunities.

Today I want to share with you another product from the Occasion catalog that you will soon be able to purchase. The Oh so Succulent stamp set and matching thinlits are absolutely beautiful and I have made few cards using them.

The set is has so many options that the layering of the parts just become natural. Some I stamped directly on the layer, others I stamped and cut to add more dimension to the card. I added a bit of border at the bottom for the Sale-A-Bration set Delicate Details, however I could not decide which sentiment to use, so I left it out. Maybe I will decide later, maybe not.
