SSSC 222 - Eastern Elegance



Nothing like a good challenge to close the week. In all honesty, I had the card made since Monday, but had friends from out of town with us and had such a fantastic time that I simply could not spare a minute away from our great friends. The challenge? Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge and I used  my left over stash of Eastern Elegance to made this card. I did flip the sketch, but kept its integrity.

DSC 081 & MM 344- Pleasant Poppies

Thursday! A wonderful day for new challenges! This week Dawn Olchefske put together a color challenge for the Dostampers challenge and you know that those intimidate me a bit every time, until I can see them coming together. This week is not an exception. The Mojo Monday had the perfect sketch for the color combo and the Pleasant Poppies stamp set closed the show.  So, did you like it? Please share some love!

Tips & Tricks:
  • The Pleasant Poppies were stamped using the StazOn black ink and the flowers were colored using the aqua painter.
  • The little bow was easily made using my Bow Maker.
  • The rounded corners on the Pleasant Poppies panels were done using Envelope Punch Board.

Dostamper Stars Challenge 074 - Blessed Easter

This has been a hard week at the house as I have 3 out of 4 people sick. I was hoping to get some tutorials done for you, but unfortunately I was not able to. However, I was able to complete a card to enter the Dostamper Stars Challenge this week. I will need several Thank You cards so I decided to use the colors from the challenges to make a Thank you card.The tulips from the Blessed Easter stamp came handy as I am missing seeing the tulips as they have not even started picking from the frozen ground. Dostamper Star 071 - Happy Day

Oh, the sight and idea of a summer night seems so far away! It has been a long, brutal, and difficult winter. I have decided that I broke up with winter, but it keeps on coming back! However, DoStamper challenge this week gave me the chance to think of a summer night. The colors are beautiful and it was easy to add the stamp set Happy Day to go with the project. Fusion #2 - See Ya Later

Greetings,

To continue the good vibe of the week, I am working today on a card that was inspired by the Fusion challenge. I love the looks of yellow, black, and gray, so the color combo was right! Then, to make it fun I decided to go with the See Ya Later stamp set, as it had the perfect greeting for the color combination. I also used another Sale-A-Bration item. Can you spot it? That's right, it is the Decorative Dots TIEF. It gave the right texture for the background. A bit of ribbon to complete the looks and this card was put together in no time. Hope you enjoy it. Tip:  The dual color background card stock were cut the same size - 2" wide x 5 1/4" long - placed next to each other in the embossing folder and ran through the Big Shot. It was easy to line up the dots once it came out of the Big Shot.

PPA #179 - Lots of Thanks

 PPA179

For a long time I had looked and admired the projects posted on the Pals Paper Players Challenges. This time, I decided to enter the challenge myself. I put together this simple card using the challenge colors: Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, and Rich Razzleberry. Since one can never have enough thank you cards at hand, I went with the Lots of Thanks stamp set. A bit of flower always adds a nice touch, and then a card is born!
