Lovely bouquet! - Day 5 of Wedding Week



Well, the week is going by too fast, but we still have couple days left to our Wedding card week. Have you found a favorite so far? Today's card was created using the ColourQ Challenge 255 as inspiration.

Absolutely lovely! I can almost feel and smell the warmth of the sun during an outdoor wedding and the breeze blowing the scent of beautiful flowers! A day to never forget!
Tips and Tricks:
  • When doing watercolor, I take my time. I painted one flower at a time changing color each time. This was easier for me to keep a good mixture of the colors of the challenge.
  • The watercolor picture gave all this card needed. The small Happiness sentiment is the representative of how I felt when I completed the card!

RS 120 - Flowering Flourishes



I was visiting a State Park in Illinois and the sites at this time of the year are beautiful. The greens and all the colors make to an spectacular show of colors, textures, and smells. The Retro Sketch challenge for this week presented many layers, and it made me think of nature. I worked with Always Artichoke and also Cajun Craze for the colors, and for my stamps, I chose Flowering Flourishes and Corner Garden.


Tips and Tricks:

  • The Corner Garden was stamped couple of times on the Very Vanilla base to get most of it stamped. I used the Cajun Craze on that layer
  • I like to stamp the Flowering Flourishes offset most of the times, but today I stamped it once to get just the beauty of it to show. The center of the little flowers were embellished with Candy Dots. Love them!

DSC 086 - Corner Garden


DSC#086-Stella&Dot

Is this inspiration for the Dostamper Stars challenge beautiful or what? I immediately thought of a wedding card for today challenge and decided to get the Corner Garden stamp it's first use. I absolutely love background stamps, but the Corner Garden exceeded all my expectations. I l-o-v-e it! This one will will be hard to keep in the shelf!

Tips and Tricks:
  • Heat embossing in vellum is just as easy as it is in carstock and it works the very same way. I did this for today's card using the Silver Embossin' Powder and I love how it turned out.
