Gratitude.

PPA-283-Jan14

I think that in WI we were all getting too used with the mild winter that we were able to enjoy thus far. Well, it appears to me that we have now gone to a full winter mode and the thermometer is here to testify on that. This morning the temperature was at a painful -3F, and with the windchill of -21F. Oh well. But the day was beautiful and sunny, as it was yesterday. I am grateful to have a nice sunny day!

After my morning out, I refused to go anywhere else, other than my craft room. And that I did. I played some, and cleaned up / organized some. I enjoyed it a lot. Then I made a card for the Pals Paper Players challenge 283. I did not know what type of card I wanted, so I just went on planning and cutting and deciding on supplies. The Pretty Petals dsp stack had 2 of the challenge colors, making my decision that much easier. I did not want to over power the cad with the Melon Mambo, so I used it as layers, but not before I added texture to it with the Elegant Dots TIEF.  The images and sentiments are from What I Love stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I do have a few tips and tricks for when you go use this stamp set. You will see it has a small arrow on the stamp itself. It does not get stamped, it is just for positioning. I laid my blocks all on the same direction, with the Stampin' Up! name farther from me. The arrows all pointed that direction. This way when I go on to stamp I just need to make sure the blocks are pointing in the same direction. It made easier for me and I hope it will help you too.

Hope you enjoyed your visit today. Please come back soon. Be well

Miriam

  1. Such a great card! Your flowers seem to be a wall hanging in a fancy, cool gallery. Such a great use of these colors. Thank you so much for playing along with my color challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts - I'm so glad you did.
