Go.. everywhere..



The rain has ceased and brought back a foggy morning, a bit climb in temperature and a shy sun. I am just happy to hear the birds singing and celebrating this nice weather.

The week has been busy, as I am flying solo until the end of the week. However, I am able to make few cards and love to participate in the Dostamper Stars 180. I pulled out the In the Meadow stamp set as I want an image from there and the sentiment is from the same set. They are so pretty and gentle. I combined with the Going Places dsp stack and made a border with the Botanical Builder framelits. This is a simple card that is very versatile: masculine, feminine, anniversary, friend. It is certain to take the recipient to new heights.

KIck back and relax.

There is a time for everything, and a time to relax must be saved aside and enjoyed to the fullest. I am hardly ever at rest, but the times when I do rest I refuse to do anything. It is a very re-energizing exercise for me that it does not need to be done more than every other year or so.

I do not believe that anyone retires so they can do nothing. Precisely the contrary. People retire so they can do the things they were not able to while they were part of the work force. Perhaps a leisure day at a beautiful lake? For today's card, yes that will be perfect. The Moon Lake stamp set met the requirement with this beautiful image. Create with Connie and Marie challenge 360 is a color challenge and I think it went well with the image and sentiment, which is from the new Wild About Flowers stamp set. That background? Well, that is the new Dots for Days background stamp set, which I stamped using the Smoky Slate.

A blossom thank you!

A busy weekend that was. I have worked my garden and even put some seeds in the ground. Now I know it will be a busy time tending for the plants, and I enjoy every bit of it.

The beautiful time of the year is just a bit more enhanced by beautiful Painted Petals DSP and stamp set.  The sketch from the Pals Paper Arts Challenge 248  is simple and the simplest sometimes can be the most difficult to work with, but I pulled it off after seeing some beautiful pansies blooming in my garden. A bit of natural intervention goes a long way!

All the love.

Another week has gone by and I feel like I hardly got everything done. However, it has been a fun busy and seeing the children so happy it pays all off. Of course having a visit from Spring weather was just the perfect icing on the cake.

Based on the Dostamper Stars challenge 123, I created today's card being careful not to overuse the rich colors. I like all the colors in this challenge, but it can be tricky for me to put them together, so I went the safe route and made good use of Whisper White cardstock. The Petite Petals stamp set has the ideal size to embellish the Gorgeous Grunge background.  I stamped the Gorgeous Grunge in both Hello Honey and Rich Razzleberry, and the flowers in Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey. The sentiment from And Many More was stamped in Rich Razzleberry. I like the subtle look of these rich colors. Do you?

7 Mondays????



I know, it may sound as an exaggeration, but this past week, I felt that I had 7 Mondays. Since my husband took a skiing trip over the weekend, I got no break alone at all other than in the evening, when I was too tired to even think.

With my husband back, I decide to play a bit in my craft room and made a card using the Retro Sketch Challenge 155 as my blank canvas. I am working out my retired paper, and therefore more of it is presented today. The Label Something stamp set has been sitting on my shelf without use for a while now, so out of the shelf it came. The Flower Patch stamp set is easy to work with since it is Photopolymer and it totally gets by without the Stamp-a-Majig. I love how easy it is to position the stamps and get a perfect placement each time. Have you tried it? You will love it!

What has inspired you?

Well, inspirations come from all sorts of place. I am always find things that can be made into a card. This past week my son was having a bit of a runny nose, so a new box of tissue was opened and upon looking at the box, I found the inspirations for today's card.

I know, weird, right? But not really. The colors went well together and it was so nice and subtle that I was not able to resist. I found an inspiration also at the Splitcoast Stampers challenge TLC521 which call for the use of Positive and Negative image. Then, using my Flower Shop, And Many More, Beautiful Bunch, and Creative Elements stamp sets I got busy stamping the images in either Smoky Slate of Tempting Turquoise. I punch out one flower from the corner and placed it in the opposite corner. The sentiment was placed on the negative of the Word Punch. Simple, yet an elegant and clean card. How about you? Celebrate good times!

This was a fun and busy weekend, with some things to think about life and plenty to celebrate. The beauty of life and the love for those around us is just what we all need to celebrate.

I prepared this card for my club ladies to work on. My hostess of this month truly loves coloring, so she asked me if we could have a coloring feminine project. I think this one fits the bill. Pastel colors are so wonderful to work with and easy to make a fantastic finish. Today's card is based on two inspirations: the Pals Paper Arts Challenge 233 and also Splitcoaster Stampers Ways to Use challenge. I broke open the Crazy About You stamp set and I am loving this great set. Colors are beautiful paired together using the Lullaby DSP, and the beautiful ribbon adds a subtle touch to finish it all up.

2015 Catalog Transition 

As the end of the year approaches, many of you have been asking questions about the new catalog. So, here is a quick reference to help you.

  • 2015 Occasions Catalog: Starts January 6 - ends June 2
  • 2015 Sale-a-Bration Brochure: Starts January 6 - ends March 31
If you're an active customer with me, your Occasions Catalog and SAB Brochure should be arriving in your mailbox soon (some have already arrived).  Let me just say..."You won't be disappointed!"
As you browse through the 2015 Occasions Catalog, you'll find that a handful of products from the 2014 Holiday Catalog are being featured (in addition to those found on page 49).  However, most will "disappear".

Cheer him up!

This past week was all too busy, and I had spend less time than I wished for in my craft corner. However, I finally caught a break and am now indulging in my passion.

Because my husband was very helpful yesterday, I was able to get a good three hours of crafting and figure I must make at least one Masculine Card. This one I like as a birthday and the sketch is from Pals Paper Arts Challenge 225. I chose the Flower Pot DSP that despite the name has some nice neutral pattern paper and the greetings is from the Good Greetings stamp set that was part of the promotion for September and October that hostess received, with qualifying order, for free. There is still time, as the promotion ends October 30th. The sentiment was punched out with the Word Window punch and highlighted with a piece of Mossy Meadow punched from Modern Label punch.

Peaceful Fall

The leaves this year were absolutely beautiful in Wisconsin and I have enjoyed my rides a lot lately. It is just sad to see that they are coming to an end.

The inspiration from Dostamper Stars challenge 104 this week was just perfect for me to enjoy a bit more of this natural beauty and make a peaceful calming card. Lovely as A Tree is an absolutely favorite of mine and the oak leave is one of the stamps that I have used a lot this year. The greeting is from Good Greetings stamp set that you can get it for F-R-E-E until the end of October by placing a qualifying order.
