It is time to say good bye.

Yes, the retirement list was posted on Tuesday and so many of my favorites are going to retire. However, I got to take a pick at the new catalog, and oh my, the new comers are going to blow us all away! You will soon see it.

Miriam Castanho-Bollinge, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demosntrator, mm, retirement, wild about flowers, farmer's market dsp, rose garden thinlits, big shot, su

A retirement card was in order, don't you think? This card was inspired by the sketch from Mojo Monday 444.  The dsp is Farmers Market and it is retiring. Sentiment is from the Wild About Flowers stamp set, which was cut with the Rose Wonder Framelit. The ribbon was retired last year, but I keep a stash as I really like the color and the texture of it. Let's not waste any time as the retiring items are going to disappear fast.

Thank you for visiting. I love reading your comments, so please share them with me. Be well

Miriam

It's all yours.

PPA260

It seems that lots of people are reaching the age of retirement, and it is a nice gesture to show how much the work they did throughout the years was appreciated. A beautiful handmade card can do precisely that.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ppa, retirement, gold soiree specialty dsp, wild about flowers, big shot, lot of labels framelits, su

Therefore, today's card is a perfect example of a retirement card that shows appreciation. The sketch is from the Pals Paper Arts challenge 260, going along with the sentiment from the Wild About Flowers stamp set. I used the Gold Soiree Specialty DSP as a background and the new Labels Framelits for the flowers from the same stamp set. I found that the Wild About Flowers set is one of those sets that I hardly need a separate set. Love that. I add the retired Raspberry Ripple ribbon with double loop bow which I made with My Bow Maker.

Make today extra special and enjoy this unique day in ways you have not done in a while. Be well.

Ciao!

CCMC363

Adulthood life is not easy, but it sure is wonderful The people we meet, the responsibilities that brings, the freedoms, and all the lessons we learn along the way. Nothing beats meeting people. Some will be greatly missed, other will soon be forgotten. Having a full time job was always a joy and I truly enjoyed my last two full time job: one in the hospitality industry and the other as a freelancer interpreter. In both I met plenty of people and enjoyed every thing about it all.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ccmc, retirement, flower shop, bordering blooms, wild about flowers, boho blossoms, label bracket punch, su

But people also move one. Today's card is to celebrate the work life of adulthood. We all are going to retire sooner or later. Some co-workers will be missed others, not so much. Well, let's concentrate on the first category and have this card to them. The inspiration for it came from the CCMC 363, and in addition to some retired DSP, I used the Bordering Blooms stamp set to create the vine on the side panel. The punched out flowers are from the Flower Shop stamp set, and the sentiment is from the lovely Wild About Flower stamp set, which were punched out with the Label Bracket punch.  The center of the flowers just need an added something, and for that the Boho Blossom punch worked perfectly well.

Let's all enjoy the people in our lives and let them know how much they are appreciated.

Have a beautiful week. Be well

This? or That?

I like cards that have a clear definition of the theme, but I also like to have some cards at hand that can go with couple - or more - themes.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, dsc, birthday card, retirement, bridal card, awesomely artistic, and many more stamp set, su

For today's DoStamper Stars challenge 140 the prepared card fit the second category. I can see this card going to a young lady on her birthday, but I can also see this card going to a bridal shower, or graduate, or even retirement. The theme neutrality of it was obtained by keeping it simple and going for an equally neutral sentiment. The Awesomely Artistic stamp set gave the Rose Red edge an elegant feel. The sentiment from the And Many More stamp set fit well inside the little label. Looking back, I should have stamped the label in Daffodil Delight and the sentiment in Rose Red. Nonetheless I like the simplicity and versatility of this card. Thank you for visiting today. Be well.

There are more inspiration to go around using the Dostamper Stars challenge. Check them out:

KIck back and relax.

CCMC360

There is a time for everything, and a time to relax must be saved aside and enjoyed to the fullest. I am hardly ever at rest, but the times when I do rest I refuse to do anything. It is a very re-energizing exercise for me that it does not need to be done more than every other year or so.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, ccmc 360, retirement, moon lake stamp set, wild about flowers, dots for days, big shot, oval collection framelits, word window, modern label punch, su

I do not believe that anyone retires so they can do nothing. Precisely the contrary. People retire so they can do the things they were not able to while they were part of the work force. Perhaps a leisure day at a beautiful lake? For today's card, yes that will be perfect. The Moon Lake stamp set met the requirement with this beautiful image. Create with Connie and Marie challenge 360 is a color challenge and I think it went well with the image and sentiment, which is from the new Wild About Flowers stamp set. That background? Well, that is the new Dots for Days background stamp set, which I stamped using the Smoky Slate.

That's all for now. Get some rest, get some craft on, and remember to always take a moment to smell the flowers. Be well

Ok, I was kidding...

Well, I am not sure if Mother Nature felt better, or simply got all too mad at me. We had a extremely rainy day yesterday, with torrential day for good part of the day. After a calm afternoon, we got an active evening with tornado warnings and all. Very active for a cool temperature.

Miriam Castanho Bollinger, #mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, sc535, retirement, etcetera dsp, sheltering tree stamp set, big shot, apothecary accents framelit, oval collection framelits, su

The day was so gloomy that the children did school in the basement rather than our regular school room which is our sun room. I was able to do some clean up in my craft area, creating space for supplies ordered from the FREE shipping and also getting ready for the new catalog coming in May. Then, I had time to craft a bit too. I made this card with a retirement in mind. Think about it, retiring, having time for all sorts of things, including riding your bike to the library or ice cream shop, or both! Sheltering Tree stamp set was perfect for a relaxed life style. The DSP used is the now retired Etcetera,  but I love the colors of it. The sketch is from the Splitcoast Stampers Sketch challenge 535 and for the "park" background I used the Apothecary Accent Framelit. Now, weather permitting, I may go for a ride soon.

Tip:
While I normally teach for people to stamp first cut last, when using the Photopolymer stamps I do not mind stamping last because you can perfectly well see where the image is going to be stamped.

Fusion Red White & Blue - Simple Stems

I have to say that I like the Fusion challenges as they give me all the elements to get the juices going. Most of the times I use both the sketch and the colors/inspiration and today is not different. I set the background using the Simple Stems stamp set. The bunch of flowers almost resembles fireworks, don't you think? The sentiment is from Something to say, which lately has a lot to say around here. I made this a retirement card, as this is one theme that I do not do too often. So to all of you out there that may be looking into retiring soon, here is a card just for you!

Now you can go change the world or at least go and have lots of fun!
