In lots of way, recovery from an illness is like losing weight. One gets sick overnight, or so it appears, and then it can take a long time to recover fully well. Let's not talk about the weight part of this analogy. Since my son was able to catch a break and is doing better, I decided to use both the Sweet Sketch Sunday Challenge 231 and The Paper Players 208 to prepare today's card.
I cannot part with the Perfectly Penned stamp set now retired. I am happy, however, to use the new and beautiful DSP papers. The Lullaby is simply lovely and the Confetti Celebration gives texture and a touch of warmth to the card.
Tips and Tricks:
- To obtain the banner cut on the strips, I use the Hexagon punch by simply sliding the strip of paper into the punch right in one of the points intersections and punch. A banner is born!
- While it is perfectly fine to use a blank piece of card stock as a background, I chose texture for an added interest.
- The tiny flowers from Something to Say add a special touch, don't you think?
