Cozy up.

The weather outside is dreadful, however, the days are nice and sunny. Well, it is winter, so what am I complaining about? At least we had a very mild December to enjoy!

What else is left to do other than cozy up a bit? When I saw the Dostamper Stars challenge 164 from this week, I immediately thought of cozy up, and loved the colors in the inspiration. Decided on a wedding card, but can certainly see a new home card with those colors too. New products were used and my favorite is the bold Watermelon Wonder 1" ribbon. It is absolutely gorgeous and soft. The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder and the image is from the First Sight, which I cut out using the Hearts Collection framelits. I stamped the image and quickly applied clear embossing powder. It worked nicely and I used the Heat Tool to finish the "magic" as my children called it. The texture is from the Softly Falling TIEF and I love it  in this card for it called for texture. Now, to a glass of wine and more of that cozy please.

I am relieved that finally my computer has come to terms and decide to be nice again. I almost canceled it's Christmas gift!

Let's then go back to normal posts and share some beautiful work. Thanksgiving was busy and we went to visit my in-laws in Indiana,leaving me little time to play in my craft room. Now, I am back and the Dostamper Stars challenge 159 has a wonderful color combination that was rather pleasing to the eye to work on. The Everything Eleanor stamp set gave me the center image, which I embellished with the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.  As you know I have a crazy passion for ribbons, and this one in Mossy Meadow makes such a beautiful bow that I could not resist. The sides are adorned with Beach House washi tape, which is a nice discreet touch, and I add a center panel with a DSP. A card for any and all occasions, that is sure to please.

The buds are coming!

Yes, they are coming and we are very, very happy about it. Today, as we looked outside, we were pleased to see the first signs of our beautiful tiger Lilly. I have picked up some items to get my seeds started and soon will be doing some checking on my garden area! Love this time of the year.

Of course, the improved weather brings the renewal that we were all waiting on. I hope to watch the grass gets greener and to see it grows once again. While I sit here wishing for that, I decided that in my stamping studio, my trees are all covered with new leaves and my grass is truly green. Well, with the Sheltering Tree stamp set this was easily accomplished. I did not want to use the inspiration piece from the Floral Fusion challenge, so I used just the sketch instead. A bit of Beach House washi tape and Something Borrowed DSP and this card brings the senses of summer right to me. Can hardly wait to see all the trees around covered with new leaves and being able to enjoy the beautiful, sunny, and warm days.

Fly, bella, fly!

Let's close the week with a bit more of Spring calling. The butterflies are begging to return, the flowers are ready to bloom and fill our surroundings with colors, and we are ready to open the windows and let in some fresh air!

Yes, I am ready for Spring and somewhat ready for Valentine's day. I enjoy Valentine's and will have something special, but for now my need for Spring is really, really, much greater. As you can see I only use the sketch part of the Fusion Heartful challenge, and the new Butterflies Thinlits die made a perfect center piece for my card. The sentiment is from the Moon Lake stamp set and if I am thinking of someone I want to think them good and happy thoughts and I believe this card fits the bill, don't you?
