Sometimes life throw us a curve ball and we must be able to catch it and deal with it to the best of our ability. A good friend of mine is going through a very difficult time and I made this card today thinking of her. The Fusion challenge gave me the components that I wanted to create this card along with the sentiment from the Perfect Pennants stamp set. I want to add flowers and the Petite Petals were the perfect match for was I was looking for. This card, along with good thoughts are going out to my friend today and I hope she finds peace and strength during this time.
Happy Stamping!
Miriam Castanho Bollinger
Tips & Tricks:
- To get the flowers to curl up, simply place the flower on the Pierce mat and using the end of the Paper pierce tool press it on the flower. You may also use the Simply Scored Stylus for this job.
- Want to emboss in a particular but we do not have the Embossin' Powder? Then use the Versamark ink to ink your stamp, then ink it again with the desired color. Use clear embossing powder and you now have the desired color!
- When applying texture to paper that will be layered, first adhere the layers, then emboss it all at once.
- Make sure to have the ribbon adhered to the layer before adhering it to the card base. A clean finish every time!

ReplyDeleteOh my! This card is gorgeous! I love the striking yellow against the black and vanilla.... beautiful! And Modern Medley is my favorite (along with Sweet sorbet and Watercolor) and I hate to see it go. It's a good thing I have about 3 packs left and I will not part with it. Lovely lovely card!
