The Wedding Week comes to an end!

However, that does not mean that future projects with the Wedding theme will not be seen. I was happy to work this week around the wedding theme considering that many times I find myself without a wedding card at hand.
Today I am closing the week with 2 cards to show case. Very simple cards they are but they were the inspiration for me to work on a week long theme.

I kept both of these simple as the goal was to have elegant cards. I like the looks of both of them and hope you will too. As you will notice I am not providing a recipe for either of them, but if you want to know all the supplies, send me a message and I will be glad to report back.

Got a wedding? - A Whole week event!


 

If you do have an upcoming wedding and have no idea where to start for a card, well, fret no more. This week I will work on wedding cards. I will try with challenges, something old, something new, and something blue. To kick off I picked up the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 232.

The combination of both Modern Medley and Quatrefancy Specialty DSP gives texture and visual interest to the card. I love it!

Tips and Tricks:
  • The Very Vanilla piece was stamped and then die cut using the Apothecary Accents framelits. I like how the shape turned out!
  • The Basic Black tail was cut from a scrap piece using the Banner Framelit.

Mojo Monday 350 - Something to say



Well, I do not know about you but I always have a lot to say. The Something to Say stamp set is jsut too adorable to pass and it was one of those that as on my first shopping list of the new Stampin' up! catalog. I have been reaching for it and my club ladies will have a go at it too. For Mojo Monday I did pull the Something to Say once more and loved how this wedding card turned out.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Heat embossing is made easy by first stamping on the color you wish, then stamp again using Versamark this time. Apply the clear embossing powder and violá! Now you have a color embossed image!
  • I love the new In color ribbons. They are wonderful to work with and make the perfect bows using My Bow Maker.

Follow your heart - Color Q 220 & Mojo Monday 324


     
Seasons Greetings,

Once I saw the new stamp set Follow Your Heart, I could not help and do just that: I the followed my heart and ordered the stamp set. I get to celebrate Valentine's day twice each year: in February, by the American calendar and in June by the Brazilian Calendar. With that much to celebrate I need few items to help me out. I took advantage of both challenges from Color Q #220 and Mojo Monday #324 to showcase the stamp set and also to get a new look for such a date. What do you think?
