A blessing.

In the summer months, it seems that there are a lot more baptisms going on around here. I work a Farmer's Market once a month and see an increased request for Baptism card.

Hence my card today.  As I am working on few commissioned Baptism card, I take the time to make extra ones so I can have them handy. This one I made using the Freshly Made Sketch challenge 192 as a source of inspiration. I kept the card as pastel as possible but did not want to use the same tone of blue for both the DSP and the stamped image and sentiment, which are both stamped in Lost Lagoon. Both the cross and sentiment is from Blessed by God stamp set, which is a must in any stamper collection. I did emboss the background for a bit of added interest. I love how the flowers cascade down from the cross as if the blossoms are just exploding in new life.

Thank you so much for your visit today. I truly appreciate it and hope you will be back soon. Be well.

A big thank you.

Thankfully the week is over and the warm weather made its way. My children had a ensemble violin recital this past Saturday and the week prior to it, just got to be too busy. I also held a Thank you card Stamp a stack, which kept me busy in a very good way.

With all that I am indeed thankful that it was all well worth it and fun was had by everyone. I did find time to just play a bit and that was wonderful. This card was inspired by the Splitcoast stampers Sketch challenge 538 and to keep with the thank you theme, what better than another Thank you card? Can never have enough of them. I pulled out the stash of retired DSP again and went with the Lots of Thanks stamp set that is retiring this year. I add a tiny bit of texture to the egdge using the Elegant Bouquet tief.  What are you thankful for this week? I hope as the week goes by, you find plenty to be thankful for. Be well.
