Wild, indeed.



After a long and wild week - not really-, things are back to normal and I am enjoying quiet time in my craft corner and also using some new supplies that arrived while I was out. Super fun.

Look at the new One Wild Ride stamp set. Isn't beautiful? I debated over buying this set, but I am so happy I did. I prepared this card for the PP306, but with my husband rider in mind. I use to ride a motorcycle myself, but that was prior to having children. It was fun. Anyway, the images and sentiment are all from this set and I know I will be making several cards with this set. The image was fussy cut, since it does not have a framelit and I popped it up with dimensional. I add a bit of retired Halloween paper just because the colors were right and a couple of brads to "hold" the banner. A very simple, elegant, and fun card for the rider in your life.

Musical week is over. Back to crafting now!

A musical week it was and I am happy to say that despite tremendous exhaustion, we had a wonderful time and learned a lot this past week. Me and my daughter spent this past week at Stevens Point in a Suzuki Summer Institute, as we have done every other year, and the child thrive despite the rigid and busy schedule. I love every minute of it all.

I am glad to be back and being able to spend a bit of much needed time in my craft room. Oh, I have missed my space so much. I did some organizing and then decided to prepare a CAS card for the PPA 311. I used the new Flourishing Thinlits for the center image, and the matching stamp set Flourishing Phrases for the corners. I stamped that in Smoky Slate as I did not want to stand out too much. Not sure it can be seen in the picture, but I like how it is very subtle. The Smoky Slate layer is Textured Embossed in Perfect Polka Dots TIEF, and cut using the retired Labels Collection. Rhinestones were added to the "buds" on the cut out image and that added a special touch to this All Occasions card.

Thanks music.



Hello my dear Readers,

I am out of town this week at violin camp with my daughter and it has been a fantastic week. It is such a wonderful experience to see the small children playing such beautiful music. It does fill our hearts with hope for a better world with more tolerance and love.

I did prepare a card and want to share it with you today for the Dostamper Stars 191. If you have not spent much time looking at the catalog and making your wish list, I urge you to do so. The new sets are absolutely gorgeous and very versatile. Look at the May Flower framelit and Falling Flowers stamp set. They are absolutely beautiful and paired up with the Touches of Textures, makes this card perfect. Now, for some step-by-step.

I did not want to cut the cardstock base, instead I created the semi-oval looks using the leaves from the Falling Flowers. Then, I stamped all the perimeter with the Touches of Texture stamp set. The flowers and bud were stamped and cut using the matching framelit. The sentiment is from the Gifts of Love stamp set, which I cut using the Triple Banner Punch. The top flower was adhered using dimensionals and Rhinestones were added to the center of the flowers for that special "bling" effect. Voilá.

Gift of Love



Summer is really upon us, but it seems to be moving all too fast. Perhaps it is just because I am so busy. We have been enjoyed having many friends over and making great summer memories. That leaves little time to play in my craft room, and next week it will be impossible as I will be in violin camp with my daughter. It is a wonderful experience and she loves every moment of it.

Today's card was made with lots of people in mind as I have many in my life that make us feel loved. They are special people that fill our lives and spread happiness whatever they go. The set used here is the Gift of Love stamp set. The Dostamper Start challenge 190 calls for any set that is exclusive for hostess and this jumped on me, so what can I say, I put it to use. The texture on the Garden Green is Elegant Dots TIEF and notice that I raised the front panel so the image is set back making a nice frame for the image and sentiment. The ribbon is in Flirty Flamingo and a perfect bow to go with that.

Oh, the bouquet.



My, oh my, the summer this year is for real and we are loving it. I am having a hard time playing in my craft room as it is in my basement and the sun calls my name if I go there. So, I play outside instead. I work in my garden, we all swim, we have friends over, and we all have a fantastic time.

I spent some time in my craft room doing commissioned work and also some projects. I always enjoy my time in my craft room. Today, I prepare this card using the Swirly Bird stamp set and the matching thinlits Swirly Scribbles. This set is fantastic. The card is inspired in the DSC 189 and I chose to go with the same Wedding cards I have been working on. The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases and I love the whimsical aspect of it. Pearls were added to the center of the flowers that I popped up and I love how it all came together with the lovely Mint Macaron ribbon.
