More? Yes, please.

I told you I have lots of birthdays coming up and I am cranking up to get my cards made. But the weather was very nice over the weekend and I had one too many things to attend. Saturday I was able to complete most of my errands, and once I came home and did not resist. I went for a long walk. Outside. Yeah, it was 60F in Wisconsin. How can one resist such temptation?

But now the weather is once again taking a turn and we may get snow overnight. It is still winter, anyway, right? So, the winds get stronger and I hunker down in my craft area. I prepare a card for the Dostamper Stars challenge 171 using the Wildflowers Fields DSP for the lower background. The sentiment is from the Perfect Pairings stamp set. The Old Olive background was textured with the Elegant Dots TIEF. Here are the steps on the Whisper White Panel:

1. Stamp image from Birthday Blossoms in Calypso Coral in randon patter;
2. Use the Awesomely Artistic stamp set to add the Old Olive leaves. I did cover the flowers before stamping so to have them coming form behind the flowers;
3. Using the Brick Wall TIEF add texture to the top part of the panel;
4. Sponge a bit of the bricks using Crumb Cake;
5. Stamp sentiment from Perfect Pairing stamp set in Blackberry Bliss;
6. Add the ribbon and the small bow.

Is it a Happy Birthday? Very much so. I hope you have enjoyed today's project and I thank you for stopping by. Please remember to visit all the Dostamper Stars to more inspiration on this challenge. Be well.

Miriam

I remembered you.

PPA280

Well, then, December is past its half time and it is coming to a close. But before it says a final good-bye, the holiday season must pass. I know some people that really hold a grudge against December, mainly because they have their birthday in said month. And a lot of times means only one gift.

So, let's not forget our friends that have their birthday celebration this month, by giving them a card and perhaps a gift... separate from Christmas, of course. I made today's card thinking of the December people and using the Pals Paper Arts challenge 280 as a sketch inspiration. Do you see some new products? I hope so. The beautiful and bold Watermelon Wonder Ribbon is gorgeous and oh so soft. The sentiment is from the Perfect Pairing that is coming soon on Sale-A-Bration. Love this set and getting it for free makes it that much more adorable! I use the Lots of Labels to cut the sentiment and the Pretty Petals dsp gave the beautiful background. Your loved one will be happy to be remembered and will cherish this card.

Thank you so much for visiting today and for your loyalty. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Be well

Miriam
