HBD 2 U



This week, as I worked on my basement and got some stuff that need to find a new home, I got my hand rammed on the door knob and the pain was absolutely excruciating. I tended to my hand immediately with ice and I could not even feel the cold of the ice pack. My husband got me some sports tape and that kept the hand from becoming completely black and blue. I am glad to say that the ice, the tape, and essential oils took care of my hand and I am now pain free.


I am mostly done with moving stuff and re-arranging the basement, and find it a bit difficult to be creative when there is some disorder around me. Nonetheless I was able to prepare a card for today's challenge. I almost completed the card without any stamp, but the white was too white, and I used the Gorgeous Grunge to break a bit of it with the Daffodil Delight ink pad. I stamped the streak stamp one time on the horizontal and then on the vertical until all the area was covered.  The stripes in Pacific Point was adhered into place prior to cutting the letters and I wish for a colorful background. Then I cut the "2" and "D" on Whisper White before adhering it to the Pacific Point layer. This would be the perfect card for a young gentleman celebrating another great year.

Color changing? Well, then, color the world!


 

Yes, Autumn is in the air and for those of us residing on northern states that reality brings back memories of a, not so long ago, brutal winter.  While the weather permits, we enjoy the outdoor and the changing of colors that are now becoming more visible. Then we can head out to our craft room and make cards and other projects mimicking the colors of the season.

A clean sketch from Mojo Monday challenge 362 and a walk around the neighborhood was all I needed... other than cool tools and supplies, of course.

Tips & Tricks:
  • The Very Vanilla layer was stamped with the Hardwood background stamp in Mossy Green.
  • Those beautiful letters are easily done with the Little Letters Framelit!
  • The beautiful bow is easily done using my Bow Maker!

A Floral Wedding! - Day 2 of Wedding Week.


 

My own wedding was performed outdoors and I loved it the open air and freedom feeling that came with that. Today's card depicts a completely non-traditional looking card, but a very festive and bright one.

When I saw the inspiration from the Fusion Bright Floral Celebration challenge, I had to think out of the box for a wedding card. I like the looks of it and think it is perfect for a day wedding! I used the new Little Letters Framelits to carve out the sentiment, and then added a piece of Calipso Coral to the back, a nice pop of color, don't you think? 

Tips and Tricks:
  • To insert the Hardware, I cut a slit onto the Whisper White layer and inserted the clip in the slip, leaving only the "&" showing. I like it!
  • That beautiful bow? Well, it was easily done using my own Bow Maker.
