Who will get the cake? Day 3 of Wedding Week

As I continue with my week of wedding cards, I see that it makes a bit easier to have a mind set and then look at color combinations and sketches and envision the new card soon to be born. The Mojo Monday Challenge 359 offered a very nice sketch, and I chose an almost monochromatic scheme.

MM 359, Miriam Castanho Bollinger, mstampinwithyou, stampin up, demonstrator, mm, wedding card, park lane dsp, window frames collection, perfect polka dot, dotted scallop border punch, su

I broke the monochromatic idea by adding a touch of Old Olive from Park Lane DSP. It is subtle and just gives enough break to the colors.

Tips and Tricks:
  • As I assembled the cake, I made sure to center the vellum piece  and after that I rounded the corners. The embossing can be done either before or after the adhering the vellum
  • That beautiful bow? Well, it was easily done using my own Bow Maker.

SSSC 227, PP 204 - Perfect Pennants

Happy Monday to us all! I do not mind Monday, as it seems to me that I have seven of them in a normal week! Seriously, it is a day like any other and the beginning of a new week that we can make a difference. To start out this week, I jumped in the Sweet Sunday Sketch and The Paper Players challenges for a good kick off. The card has a sentiment from Perfect Pennants as it adequately sends good thoughts your way.

I truly love that sentiment from the Perfect Pennants stamp set. It says it all.

Tips and Tricks:
  • Cut a long strip of the Dotted Scalloped Border and after you have it where you want it, cut to size.

Mojo Monday 336 & Paper Players 186 - Just Thinking

Greetings!

We had a small taste of Spring and, oh, was it wonderful! I can hardly wait to have it completely upon us. While we anxiously wait for it, let's keep on playing the Mojo Monday and Paper Players challenges. I use the Window Frame framelits to cut the stamped image and the background as well. Do you like it? Will you share some love with me? Thank you for visiting today and please come back again soon.

Happy Stamping!
