Cool as cucumber

Yet another productive weekend in my house, and some down time too, so a balance can be achieved. I got some fresh mulch on my garden in preparation for the fall, so I will not have too much once Spring arrives.  I am still harvesting some produce, but we all know that this will not last too long. Enjoy my roasted tomatoes and basil throughout the winter I will.

The colors for the Pals Paper Players challenge 267 are nice and soothing. I like the combination a lot and will repeat those colors and other projects! For today's card, I used the Schoolhouse DSP and combined the I Love Lace background stamp to give a soft touch. The sentiment is from the now retired Bring on the Cake stamp set, but I like how it worked on this card. The Tea Lace paper doily enhanced the softness of the card and the little perfect bow finish the perfection. I can never get a wrong bow with My Bow Maker! Love that little tool.

DSC 83, SSSC 220 - Bring on the cake

A bit of old and a bit of new? It seems like the perfect marriage! And the two challenges today, from Dostamper Stars  and Sweet Sunday Sketch gave me some of the basics for this card. The Bring on the Cake stamp set will leave the store on June 4th, but many, many new sets will make its first appearance. The paper from the Lullaby DSP is as delicious as a birthday cake. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks:
  •  The scalloped circle is propped up using dimentionals. However, I do not add that until all the other pieces are adhered to the base. 
  • The bow is easily done using My Bow Maker. I did double loop for an extra added touch!

A Sunburst masculine birthday!

Seasons Greetings!

The year is approaching an end and I want to Thank all of you who had helped me along the way. I enjoy preparing projects to showcase to you and also for the great group of ladies that come to my club and classes. Today card is a Sunburst technique that I used to create a masculine card. Sometimes to find a good masculine card is as hard as find a masculine present! The stamp from the set Bring on the cake, added the ideal touch for this card. So, what do you think? Do you like it? Pals Paper Player # 181 & Color Q #217 - Pleasant Poppies & Bring on the Cake

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving day! Me and my family stayed in, I cooked, we ate, we enjoyed each other, and I got time to play a bit too! The Sketch from Pals Paper Player was great and I coordinate it with the Color Q challenge.  I used the Pleasant Poppies stamp, as I love the serene looks of it and I also used the Bring on the cake stamp set.Hope you will enjoy my creation!
