Gorgeous Birthday

Dear Friends and Readers,

Thank you so much for all the condolences messages you took the time to write. We went to Indiana and the funeral and burial was on Saturday. It was a very different experience to me as in Brazil things are done very fast, the emotions are normally raw, and the entire thing is rather somber. I sure learned a lot.

I got back and needed some time in my craft corner to just contemplate life and get myself a bit of respite. I prepare the card for Dostamper Stars 267 and the card turned so beautiful I gave it to my friend whom just celebrated her birthday on Sunday.

Oh, I think I will make another one of this, as I loved how it turned out. I used the Beautiful You stamp set for image and sentiment. The texture area was done with the new Petal Pair TIEF, how beautiful is that? The dress and hat were colored using the new Brusho Crystal Colour. I honestly was not looking into purchasing it, but I am happy I did. Make sure that when using the Brusho, it is ideal to use either Memento or Archival ink. The colors are beautiful and it is super easy to use. more on that to come soon. I layered the image to give an extra boost and rhinestones are just about mandatory! Love the results.

Unusual Graduation

With Memorial Day behind us, it is time for the summer show its color and its warmth. I have been busy with so many thing going on, and some commissioned work has been solicited. There is 6 children from the violin program we attend that are graduating this year. It is bitter sweet. We have know this children since our first day at violin and all of them have been a source of inspiration to our family. My daughter is happy that she got to play with them this past year.

One of the teachers that run the advanced group has commissioned me to prepare the cards fro those graduating children. A privilege I say. Today I am showcasing one of them and will showcase others this week.  I used the DoStamper Stars 233 as an inspiration for color, but certainly not the theme. I used the new Beautiful You stamp set and the image was fussy cut to be placed in the card. The background is the Watercolor Wash stamp and I added the grass from the In the Meadows stamp set. The flowers are from the Bloomin' Hearts thinlits and the leaves from the Rose Garden thinlits set. The Flower Pot DSP is retired but went well with the card and the colorful inspiration. The girl whom will receive this card is very artistic and feminine and I sure hope she will like her card.

Exciting new catalog.

Hello my dear readers,

Well, we are all getting very anxious for the launch of the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! catalog. I can testify that it is packed with wonderful products and as a demonstrator, I get the privilege to pre-order some of them. Let me tell you, it is beautiful. I am sure you will agree with me once you get to see it too. My list has grown a bit and I am anxious too to get my hands on the other products that are calling my name.

Well, we have all seem the lovely Beautiful You stamp set and I love both the images and the sentiments on this set. The fact that I can color it adds that much more interest for me! Love it. Then, I got the new Colorful Seasons and combined both of them for this beautiful card.  The flowers are just so pretty and the new Powder Pink is the perfect color. Of course I could not help but embellish the flowers with Pearls. They look marvelous. For the Hello Honey layer, I stamped the Watercolor Wash background in the same color just for a bit interest. I love using the same color ink on a cardstock. It always looks good and subtle. A simple card that can be put together quickly and bring a smile to the recipient.
